Absolutely ruthless parking service decision makers

I work as a NHS community rehab Therapist in B&D visiting to rehab the most disabled and vulnerable people in their own homes/Care Homes.
My parking permit had expired whilst I was away on holiday and my workplace applied for a new parking permit as soon as I returned to work.
The permit was delayed as the prices had nearly tripled since last year. I thought that my permit had been renewed and visited one of my patients in Dagenham for some 40 minutes. I noticed that I had been fined when I returned to my car( there were at least 50 empty spaces available on that road).
I challenged the PCN explaining who I was and what had happened, however, they totally declined my challenge not caring the slightest.
I could have been seeing one of their family members/relatives or friends, but NO HUMANITY whatsoever.

Received a $4000 fraudulent charge to my Canadian credit card from this organization today. I've never been to Barking but this looks like a government office, so they let people pay their taxes or whatever with foreign credit cards for several thousand dollars that have a different person's name on them? Don't they have any KYC or AML checks? The accounting staff either don't care or they must be complicit in the scam.

Horrible robbers

Horrible robbers
Bought a new car and was playing with the infortament when realised I need to get a permit for the day and went inside home for no more than 10 minutes to scan and send two different proofs of address as they require to be able to buy a daily permit. Went out and I had a ticket. Appealed it and was refused with the most stupid excuse ever " Oh its still your responsibility...... "
I had two valid yearly permits at the time for another vehicles and in the last 10 years I have been paying annual permits for 10 vehicles. Why am I saying this?
Because no one bother to look in my account and see by my record that I always been paying my stuff and it was only matter of few minutes mistake.
This people will step on you if fallen on the street will pinch your wallet and will laugh at you

The Borough takes ages to deal with…

The Borough takes ages to deal with your queries .
I have requested for a single person's discount for my council tax . They said that they will get back to me . I have been waiting for over 1 month for a response regarding this . I receive an email yesterday stating that I owe council tax . I contacted them today after waiting on the phone for 1 hr to discuss this to know why have they have not responded to my single person's discount . I was told that they are very busy and if I don't pay I may incur late payment charges . I am lost for words

Disgraceful customer service

I received a camera ticket that wasn't delivered within the specified 14 days. Despite logging an appeal, the council issued another notice, which arrived 14 days later. My appeal against the decision yielded no response in my favor. Frustrated, I decided to call the council to inquire about the delay, but the person on the phone was extremely rude and failed to understand the rules and regulations. I made it clear that I would only pay the £65 fine and nothing more, but the call was abruptly disconnected.

Undeterred, I decided to lodge an appeal with London tribunals, and fortunately, the judge understood my situation and ruled in my favor. I encourage everyone to stand up against any delays and not hesitate to appeal for a fair resolution.

Extremely bad

Extremely bad. Multiple times now I have received court summons for council tax which is being paid for, multiple times spending hours on the phone for it to be fixed to receive the same thing the next month causing undue stress and emotion.
There is no unpaid bill we are up to date. They say we have to make payment through phone we do that then they say we can do it online, when done online they tell us it wasn’t completed it should have been phone only.

The council does not follow through on what they say should be done,

How can anyone live with this stress due to them.

Very very poor ongoing service.

Move to barking Abbey road …. 🤣😳Good Luck

If you are thinking of moving to the new build flats on Abbey Road Good luck… any housing projects built by “Wates” are causing a pain to fix.. as reside/BeFirst are ignoring all our complaints, especially referring to our lifts, intercoms because of that we can’t receive Royal Mail or any retail couriers … our packages continuously get stolen..

You are walking into a life is HELL with them..

If I could give no stars I would!

If I could give no stars I would!! Moved into the new builds not even a year ago and there are so many problems already. Absolutely disgusting & nothing is heard or listened to. The lifts have been broken for the past 3 months, the intercom does not work which means you have to go down and get everyone that wants to come in. No parking available which means 100 tickets. Just everything that can go wrong!!! The building only sits pretty.

Barking & Dagenham Bus Tour by Be First

"Be First: Barking and Dagenham Council’s pioneering urban regeneration company.
Barking and Dagenham....aims to provide 50,000 quality new homes and 20,000 new jobs by 2037."
What did I see today? The transport infrastructure is being developed and houses are being built. But 20,000 new jobs? Where???
Several times I asked our tour guide Charlie, "Where will people work?" and several times he failed to answer. All I got was some BS answers that there might be free ports developed in the future or perhaps in the growing film industry. All very, very vague and unclear. If B&D Council/Be First are trying to create 15 minute utopian cities I suggest they also create real sustainable employment for the residents. One star for Charlie our tour guide. Five stars for our bus driver!
Ps. These free bus tours are a waste of public money as they only serve those on the payroll.
