Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 22 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant disappointment with the quality of the products, noting issues such as cushions losing shape, fabric pilling and fading prematurely, and leather cracking or peeling within a short period. Reviewers also felt that the pricing was too high for the quality received, often describing the furniture as "junk" despite its cost. The warranty process was a major source of frustration, with many reporting difficulties in getting repairs or replacements, and some even being told their issues were not covered despite paying for extended warranties. Some people were also dissatisfied with the service, experiencing long waits for repairs, unhelpful responses, and problems with incorrect orders or designs that clashed with their existing furniture.

I bought 2 power recliners in Lubbock

I bought 2 power recliners in Lubbock, Texas from the Lazy Boy Furniture Gallery in Lubbock. after a couple months the cushions in the chairs collapsed. I called and was told there was a problem in production with manufacturing materials. They took my two chairs that cost me $2400 and added more cushions. They put too much in one and the other too much was added to the head rest. They were very angry when speaking with me. The chairs were never repaired correctly. I was told they would do nothing more. Too much money to spend on something these people knew were poor quality. Sad, this is what our country has come too. Everyone we deal with attempts to cheap us and these guy got away with it. Our attorney said there is nothing we can do.Beware, this stuff looks great in the showroom but chances are it is garbage. Garage sale quality.

Poor quality furniture.

We purchased a lazy boy sofa, two armchairs, all recliners, in December. £4000 worth, sorry but I think it is such poor quality, the fabric is so slack, where it should be pulled taught, there is puckering all over it the arm padding is poor. Really disappointed, will be in store to complain when we are out of lock down.
I expected much better quality furniture.

Poor After Sales Service

Purchased a lounge at the end of June 2020. IT arrived close on the estimated 16 weeks delivery time. Was delivered with incorrect leg colour. Initially advised by La-Z-Boy that we would have to pay $300 for the replacement legs which was their error. They finally agreed to the supply the legs but now advise it will be 30 week wait for a simple component. (COVID) Product is fine but double check the sales order confirm exactly what you have ordered. Initial customer service was good but follow up when there is an issue is poor. Unfortunately, I will not use nor recommend this supplier.

Three litte bears sofa

Purchased the lazyboy Tamla 2 Corner 2 static and have got to say it is not the same as the one I sat on in showroom at SCS Stirling where do I start, sat on what was my seat and I sunk right down and felt no support for my back have used a support cushion ever since the arm rest on that seat has flattened already with a noticible what I would describe as a pot hole. The seat on the opposite side is a little bit better built but still no where near the one I sat on in the showroom and the arm rest is holding up, now to explain the feeling I get when I sit on the seats from the corner outwards is hard soft even softer in other words it reminds of the nursery rhyme the 3 bears. No consistency whatsoever and creaks and croans away when you sit on and sit off.

I spent $3,000 for a La Z Boy garbage.

I spent $3,000 for a La Z Boy sofa after a couple of years the leather has started to fade, wear and pill. It looks awful. I first contacted the local La Z Boy Showroom that I bought the sofa from. They said it was not their issue and refused to provide any support. I then contacted the home office of La Z Boy. They stated that is was my fault for not taking care of the sofa. I was supposed to clean the leather with soap and water, DAILY. This is a crooked organization. They will sell you garbage furniture at high prices and then let you hang out to dry, when it starts to fall apart. Do not buy La Z Boy furniture. It is a RIPOFF.

Very unhappy customer !!!!!!!!

I purchased a sofa, love seat, rocker recliner chair , pillow, rug, and rug pad all from the Lazboy gallery in Chandler AZ on 09/05/2020. The sales person Candy said they would come out and make sure all the furniture would fit in our new house. Well that never happened and guess what it is now December 23,2020 and I have received just the sofa and rug pad. When I purchased these items I was told it would take 12 weeks from factory because of the Covid. Well it has been 16 weeks and not a sign of getting the rest of my furniture. I called yesterday to see where the rest of my furniture was and was told again no rug, no love seat and chair and the pillow. The chair and pillow are sitting at a warehouse somewhere. Why are they not sitting at my house? I was told I can cancel my order well guess what. I now have a couch and rug pad that goes with nothing and can not return them because I have had it for 3 weeks. Where is the Great customer service when I purchased these items. ????
I will not go back to any of the La-Z-Boy store as this one was in Chandler AZ. I did cancel my order, I will go shopping somewhere else,

Never again!

I have an old la z boy chair which was fantastic. It still is very comfortable but suffered the effects of time. Because of this, I ordered two new la z boy armchairs. It seems that they are now made in China. At first, I thought that they were OK. Unfortunately, after only six months, the fabric is showing wear, the whole chair rocks and creaks and the cushioning is starting to sag. It is much worse than my old chair. I wouldn't buy another one and had it not been for Covid etc., they would have been rejected. Don't waste your money.

WILL RETURN TO LAZYBOY

I did not realize and fully appreciate how great my experience was at Lazyboy until I ordered furniture from Potterybarn. I ordered two custom couches this year from LaZyboy. The staff at North Olmstead, including manager and sales associates were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The couches were delivered without incident and within the original delivery estimate! My kids and their friends love the couches as they recline and have charging ports for their electronics on both ends of couches. We lost electricity recently but because I have the battery packs with couches, devices could still be charged. I like the couches because they are stylish. So a win/ win. Thanks LaZyboy and all the good folks at the North Olmstead store. I wish I had gone back to LaZyboy to order the chairs, and not Potterybarn. I will going forward!!

Pay deposit wait for months to get it

Pay deposit wait for months to get it. Arrogant sales people. Proud and they say it will take only a few weeks but then you get an email saying it’s months away. I had to argue to get my order. Finally they gave me the shop floor item. Don’t expect any favours. They try to impose new terms. Returning your deposit is not one of them. In spite of charging exorbitant prices they charge for credit card use. After all that, be prepared for a used item instead of a new one.

The "world famous Lazy 10 Year…

The "world famous Lazy 10 Year Warranty" is useless. My chair broke after 4 years. I am now waiting for one simple part to fix it. I have been waiting for 6 months. Im constantly told they are waiting for the part from the factory. My question if they have no parts what are they building the new chairs with??
Utter rubbish after sales care. I will never buy from them again and would advise anyone else to buy anything but their chairs.
Useless scam

Poor quality and no customer service.

Shortly after purchasing a Lazyboy leather recliner for $700 the mechanism started making noises every time I sat in it or try to rock it. There is no Lazyboy customer service dept other than "contact the store you purchase it from". The store wanted me to deliver the chair to them when their service guy was in town. I don't have a truck so would have to rent one. Now, after one year the color is rubbing off the red recliner and the arms are now pink. Warranty is only for one year on leather so no luck there. Stay away from Lazyboy. Poor quality and no customer service at all.

Major disappointment with Local Lazyboy Store

So very disappointed in our recent purchase of love seat and recliner, wish I had of read reviews before purchasing. Waited 14 weeks for furniture to arrive (everything is due to covid) Delivery people just show up whenever no phone call, reclining mechanism in both loveseat and recliner are faulty (repair person sent by Lazyboy Kamloops verified) Yes they are replacing both pieces of furniture and we will be waiting for another 14 weeks maybe longer customer service is totally lacking! Covid is an excuse for delays not for customer service!

We have a swivel rocking chair

We have a swivel rocking chair. The mechanisms broke down after 2 years.
Called customer service, waited 30 minutes to get an idiot on the phone.
Asked for a supervisor, 30 minutes later I was told there would be a service charge plus parts.
Stay away, junk and poor customer service department.

12-14 weeks waiting for $3000 order

12-14 weeks waiting for $3000 order, nobody can track the order even after a thirty minute wait on hold with corporate customer service who could not find the order! Worst customer service in the US. I purchased specifically because I wanted to help an American company. This is why our manufacturing is getting beat every day! Do not give them any deposit money you will never get it back!

Bought a La z Y Boy sofa as we were told it was the best for back support.
Paid extra for extended warranty.
Admittedly they came back and put in additional foam on our first complaint but at 3 years old was told that the extension was only for accidental damage or the mechanism.
Very poor quality. I am an OAP weighing just 10 st not particularly heavy. Very poor quality foam

Impossible to talk to a live person and get service. Always getting a message that says leave a message. Why would a customer want to play phone tag with a company who does not want to answer their phones. They have lost me as a customer.
