Later Living Helpline is a community‑focused service dedicated to supporting people over 60 and their families with clear, friendly, and reliable guidance. Our team is made up of volunteers who are passionate about helping older adults navigate later‑life decisions with confidence and peace of mind. We don’t provide estate planning or financial services ourselves, and we never charge for advice. Instead, we offer free information, answer general questions, and, when needed, refer you to trusted, qualified estate planning professionals who can give regulated advice. These referrals are always optional, and there is no obligation to proceed. Our mission is simple: to make later‑life support accessible, pressure‑free, and genuinely helpful. Whether you’re looking for information, reassurance, or a starting point for more specialist guidance, we’re here to help.

Super.
I was made aware that it is not good to have a will that leaves everything to our partners as in my case if I died my husband would have to go into care and all of our property would go to the care home and not to our children as we would want

The organization of the talk about trust funds was very easy and well done.
The follow up video call was executed well.
The chap who I spoke to was well informed about what a trust fund is and what you have to do to set one up.
He gave me very good advice on what can be put in trust as well as what cannot be achieved.

A great experience. Very pleased with the service from both Later Living and Viva. The free session gave me much ‘food for thought’. It was very informative and the consultant from Viva was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable. A great service. Thank you.

I have just received a cold call from this organisation. I note that they claim in review responses that they only contact people who have requested a call through a contact form. I have not filled out a form, nor requested a call. They are clearly pulling information from somewhere else.
Edit: Following the reply from Later Living, I can confirm that the call was received 22/03/26 at 12.44. The number displayed was 07533 148182

I filled in an opinion Survey on facebook, and ask for more advice on certain fees, A few hours later a lovely volunteer rang me and went through the various options we hadn’t thought of before, made a free appointment with a professional based advisor from later living. All good experience and 5 star reviews.

I originally spoke to a female volunteer, who was very helpful & honest in the information she provided. It was interesting to learn exactly how the care system works & that I may be able to protect my home against the fees. She explained that they are not a legal entity, but was able to offer me a free consultation with a company that could help me. The consultation was done via video call. The information they gave was very informative & helpful.
As I must be honest & say this has always been a mind field to me.
I now fully understand what options are available to me.

I spoke to someone who told me they would get a volunteer to call me back. The volunteer wasn’t able to answer all my questions but explained it’s because they are not a legal entity. They put me in touch with an estate planner who was able to answer the questions I had. Very thorough and very helpful and polite volunteer

Not helpful. Not appreciative of constructive criticism.

Be very cautious. We took up a 'free appointment' which ended up a high pressure sell which has cost us dearly. If you are feeling vulnerable and concerned about your future and finances, as we are, tread very carefully. Its a shame.

I didn't call the helpline, they called me and as I didn't know the number I called them back. Call was answered by a female who spoke very fast and she said I clicked something on Facebook - I probably just wanted to know what it was but I don't remember.
I told her she was speaking too fast (I have poor hearing) so she said she would speak slower, then repeated her spiel just as fast. She asked if I would like to be transferred to one of their volunteers so I said yes, and explained to the person who spoke much slower that I didn't wish to talk to anyone.
Whatever they do, if I wanted it I would choose who to consult so it was a waste of their time and mine.

I am not sure about this company at all. All the information on their website is accurate, all the things happen and it's terrible but I'd be interested to see any good reviews about them. The initial call, which I found through their Facebook page led to an appointment. They insisted that my husband attend the appointment, when really I wanted to find out information, see if it was helpful and report back. It all felt a bit weird and pressured. If you look them up on Company's House they are an advertising company, not an estate planning company.
