I have ordered some bedsheets and…
I have ordered some bedsheets and curtains from Redoute. Sometimes shipping times are a few days longer than "usual", but I still have found them acceptable. The quality of the textiles has been great. Once I had to return an object and that went smoothly as well.
I have sent numerous emails and called…
I have sent numerous emails and called and have had not a single reply to date, I sent back a pair of shoes for a refund and tracked it and it has been signed by a person by the name of J Pearson at a UK address I was informed to return it back to in an email from their customer service team a week after I had sent previous emails asking them for a return address ... honestly this is the worst customer service I have had and would never ever recommend anyone purchasing anything from them as it is a waste of your precious time and energy. stay well and truly away as their are far better and more reliable sites than this crap
Misrepresentation of shipping to Turkey
I ordered online items(bedlinen sets) for shipment to Turkey because the website said that they catered for this and I could pay the duty/tax upfront with no hidden costs. I placed 3 orders of different sizes all with duty prepaid
The first shipment sat a month in customs because - as I eventually learned after many calls and emails with dHL - it was over the 30kg customs limit by 1Kg. So I asked DHL to return it as I did not want to have to find an import agency to clear it, give the power of attorney etc. I am still waiting for a recredit of that 1st order from August. The 2nd and 3rd small orders arrived swiftly and cleared customs OK.
Then to replace the items I still needed to make up bed linen sets, I placed two smaller orders to ensure a lower package weight. Now they are also in customa since one month, as DHL say I am over the number of shipments I am allowed without being a commercial importer. They say I cant ship in more than 5 consignments but no where does it state this either on La redoute site or DHL customs clearance notes.
I have emailed La Redoute numerous times. No real concern given or assistance. I have literally £1000's of goods not delivered. The.website is a mis representation of their service and they clearly have no real experience of shipping to Turkey leaving me with the mess my end .
At this rate I will have to return even the little times I have received as they will be useless without the balance orders.
A horrible customer service
A horrible customer service, practically doesn’t exist. It made me a lot of troubles to contact with them via e-mail or the phone – with no results. Beside, the returns you have to send now directly to France, and it is many times more expensive than before, when you could send it via the La Redoute shipment point in your country. The data they give you to prepare the sending are not complete (no phone number and e-mail address of the receiver in France) so you cannot to use services of many courier companies, who need such items. I am afraid that this company have serious business troubles and it is a big risk to buy anything there, especially that they take money from your card very quickly, but you have to wait for the delivery for weeks.
Order not shipped after2 weeks! And impossible to get in touch with them
Usually, when you order from a mail-order company (they have one job!), and if the item is in stock (which La Redoute claim it was), the parcel is being prepared and shipped immediately (that's the beauty of 2018 IT systems and supply-chain processes...).
Except that with La Redoute, they send you a "parcel is being prepared" 2 weeks AFTER your order and payment. And "parcel is being prepared" doesn't mean "parcel is being shipped". I still have no clue, 2 weeks after my order (that was made 3 weeks before Christmas) if it's even going to be shipped before Christmas. And by the way, don't even try to reach their clients' services: they have ignored all my 5 mails sent over a period of 1 week (although they claim they'll get back to you in 24 hours).
An unreliable company, unreliable service, no client services: AVOID!
Non existing customer service
The delivery dates that they communicate before buying are fake. I bought several items to have them delivered at my holiday house. They came later that announced so I wasn't able to pick them up. It's been more than a month that I tried to get hold of someone in customer service to get my order reimbursed, by mail and on Facebook, I only receive automatic replies that they'll get back to me in 24 hours. I will obviously never use this site again. I thought they were getting better but I should have checked Trustpilot before!
It has its pro's and con's but overall satisfied
I was a bit nervous at first ordering from this site after reading the reviews but their children's bedlinen is so nice (and cheap on sale) that I've decided to give it a go. It's not too bad I must say but could be better. In my experience it has some pro's and con's:
Con:
- The prices differ between different versions of La Redoute but you only find that out when you go to the check-out (and have already placed stuff in your basket). I started off at the .be-version but was redirected to the .com version when I wanted to pay. I couldn't get all the stuff I wanted for the Belgian sales-prices anymore + the extra discount they had on the .be-version was not applicable to my basket anymore. They could've redirected me beforehand so the customer doesn't have to have experience this dissapointment.
- The check-out doesn't respond to every bank in NL. I got an unclear error when I wanted to pay with one bankcard but luckily for me it did eventually work with another bankcard.
- The customer care via FB is a bit hard to get a hold of, they responded just a bit longer than 24 hours after my question but were quite up to speed after that. Although polite, unfortunately they weren't of a big help with my questions and solving my problem other than: we'll tell the IT-department.
Pro's:
- After you've managed to order something, the delivery process is quick (took them 3 workdays to NL) and easy. DHL delivers your package and you get an sms when they will deliver. You can also change the delivery day upon your liking. Too bad you can't choose the delivery time though.
- The products (bed linen) are neatly packed and on first glance of good quality (maybe a bit on the thin side). The prices on sale are really good.
Cancelled my items
Cancelled my items. Wrong pricing. Did not fix it. No idea where my items are. DO NOT TRUST
This company have good offers and …
This company have good offers and discounts. I like their clothing, it's a little bit expensive without the discounts though, so I tend to shop only when they have a sale on
La Redoute returns = BAD EXPERIENCE
La Redoute returns = BAD EXPERIENCE!
I ordered from La Redoute years ago and had a good experience as I really liked the clothes I ordered and found them to be good quality. Fast forward - It had been years since I ordered from them and I thought I would try ordering from them again. I ordered 5 pieces and liked 2 pieces which I decided to keep and the other 3 pieces were just ok so I decided to return them. What a horrible experience this has been. I sent my return per the instructions on their site to the KY address. The tracking on my shipment shows that it delivered to the KY address a month ago. I have still not received a credit for my return. I have tried calling the customer service number and no one picks up. I have left messages and no one has returned my call. I have emailed them and no one has responded to my email. I have scoured their website site for information on returns and it directs me to a place on the site that does not exist. It states, "you can find the details on your refund under “Returning your purchases” in your customer account." This area does not exist or is not easy to find. After my recent order, I would have considered ordering from them again as I did like 2 of the items but after my return experience and NOT GETTING CREDIT FOR MY RETURN and the terrible or NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, I WILL NOT order from them again and would warn others to not order from them.
Be sure to read reviews before you order
I've been following a British style blogger that worked with la redoute and by her recommendation ordered from this site.
I've placed an order on the 19.4, and 10 days later after no confirmation of dispatch I emailed customer service and was replied that my order wasn't Processed yet and I should kindly wait patiently (!?)
Why don't they contact customers and notify them of delays or out of stock products?? Why should I be patient? Stop taking more orders and deal with the ones you already have, or at least be honest and explain that you have problems in your Wearhouse!
now it's been over 16 days and counting for dispatch with no update from la redoute, I could have gone to France and back raiding my bike before this order is out.
This is By far the worst service I've received from an online retailer.
Poor
Poor service, poor reply not a part of the solution only the problem.
