The lessons provided exactly what I needed. Very expensive, but thanks to the lessons I have the level of understanding I was hoping to achieve.

Taught by good students but they don't have enough teaching experience. Very expensive and ill-equipped. Teaching students should not charge more than 20-25 dollars per hour. There is no tool to monitor progress or feedback to parents. On the contrary, "Growing stars" offers lessons by experienced teachers at one-third price, and the online schedule, as well as monitoring tool, is excellent.

My tutor is excellent and super nice - and really funny too. Her math IA, which is what I needed help with, happened to be similar to mine, which meant that she also gave me advice based on her own experience. She was really helpful and basically helped me rewrite it from nothing. She explains everything in a very clear and often unconventional way and she helped me with anything from the type of math I should use in my IA to the phrasing of some sentences in my investigation. Definitely recommend :)

Without Louis help I know for sure that I would have failed my TOK essay, and his help during the lessons and after (through email) has been a great support system throughout my journey in TOK. He helped me with grammar and digging deeper into the ideas I had, fully allowing me to decide on my own what I wanted to say but helping me to communicate that more effectively.

Having a TOK tutor for my daughter was so helpful, tutor was so nice and was able to offer amazing support! on the other hand, when my daughter signed up for biology tutor, the first two tutors did not work out. The first one would be semi unprepared and only scribble random words and pop up random pictures on bramble, making it hard to review the content for later purposes. The second one gave very general feedback for the IA and was not much help. luckily, Lanterna was nice enough to allow us to switch tutor upon a special request. Biology tutor has been great since. However, for psychology tutor, the tutor has only had one 40 minute session with my daughter for her IA, and my daughter has emailed her numerous times to set up the next class, it's been probably almost well over 2 months since the first email was sent. We understand the tutors may be busy so we gave her some time to reply, but still, no response and her mocks are over now and she was not able to get any help. Also, I think it would be helpful if Lanterna offered subjects for 1-hour purchases, would really help me and others out who feel they cannot use up the 5 hours but just need a bit of extra help. Please consider this.

My daughter (grade 12 IB) went from tears and a disastrous draft Math IA to submitting a passing IA that she's proud of. I will not hesitate to book Lanterna again as needed. Thank you!

My daughter is in her first year of sixth form and is studying maths as one of her higher level subjects. After an extended period of home schooling she is lacking in confidence, but her tutor Imogen is making a huge difference. Having studied IB not that long ago, Imogen really understands the challenges of IB and is a great role model as well as a brilliant tutor. I definitely recommend Lanterna for anyone who needs support for any IB subject.

I had my first meeting and it was excellent! I received amazing feedback that I am currently working on. My tutor took a thorough look at my work and made many notes. I was very happy with the way the meeting went and I am looking forward to the next meetings.

Ms Navika was extremely helpful, flexible and constructive. Ms Navika helped identify all the weak points in my IA and then provided very beneficial feedback to ensure the IA is the best it can be. My son found the Lanterna
Economics tutorials with Natalia a much needed confidence boost having been absent from school for a couple of months. He was able to cover enough material in a few days to enable him to sit his mock exams with a level of comfort. He will be returning to Lanterna to bridge the gaps more fully before his finals.

Good feedback, but not enough preparation or detail.

My tutor was helpful in giving small feedback for my Economics IAs. However, she was a little unprepared most of the time and only picked out one or two things rather than going over the entire essay.
Overall, I got some good feedback, but there could have been more preparation and detail.
