Today

Today, I picked up a sandwich and a side Caesar salad to go. After driving off, I checked the bag and noticed the dressing container was extremely small, maybe 1 oz at most, and when I opened it, it was only about half to three quarters full. I drove back to the restaurant and asked for one or two additional containers of dressing.
To my surprise, I was told I’d have to pay extra. Really? I asked to speak with the manager (a Hispanic lady), who repeated the same line: that’s the standard serving size and anything more costs extra. Instead of showing any understanding, she became defensive and scolded me for being upset about it.
At that point, I told her I wouldn’t be returning to any La Madeleine location and that I would be leaving an honest review about the experience. Her response was essentially, “I don’t care.”
So, congratulations to upper management — this is a perfect example of being penny wise and dollar foolish. Losing a customer over a tablespoon of salad dressing is quite a strategy.

Consistently yummy

The Plano location at Park and Preston is our go-to for lunch. They’ve never disappointed. Join their app to get points and free stuff, first freebie I had the eclair.

Workers cannot get an order completed…

Workers cannot get an order completed correctly. This costs the consumer money and it has happened more than one time at the location on beltline and Montfort. They do not take care and whether the order is completely correct and then get frustrated with the customer because the customer is upset over being charged for food they did not receive. Managers are too young to know how to take responsibility. Managers do not manage they are simply there to be a go-between the corporate and the consumer.

A Customer No More

I used to be a regular customer of La Madeleine, but something has changed in their management that has destroyed this customer's trust.

The food quality, selection and serving sizes have declined dramatically in the past several years, while the prices have risen exponentially. I used to get a plated meal called Tuscan paella which was a large plate filled with delicious ingredients, enough for two people, but they've since discontinued this and several other dinner entrees. What you receive now on their standard entrees is a tiny piece of meat and a small pile of vegetables.

The rewards programs has all but been destroyed. A convenient app used to track all of your purchases and your activity level for rewards as you scanned it at the register for each purchase, but that was replaced about a year ago with a completely unworkable "website" that doesn't work. Instead of being always logged in as on the app, you have to have an emailed link send to you, and even that just takes you on an endless loop that doesn't ever get you to your destination. Pathetic.
