Yacht Charter KIRIAKOULIS / Charter Base Punta Ala/Italy / Base Manager Giuseppe Perrella: We chartered an Oceanis 38.1 from Kiriakoulis Charter in June 2026. Upon taking possession of the yacht, it was noticeable that the charter company's employees were completely unfamiliar with the vessel, spoke poor English, and were only interested in getting all the documents signed as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we had very little wind during our charter week and sailed at a maximum of 2-3 knots. There were five of us on board, all very experienced sailors with thousands of nautical miles under their belts, including Atlantic crossings, etc.! Upon returning the yacht, we were charged for damage that we had not caused and which had not been inspected during the handover (our mistake!). The yacht was generally in poor condition, with water constantly in the bilge, electric toilets with a faulty battery, an insufficiently cleaned boat overall, a much too small dinghy, etc., but it sailed reasonably well in light winds. All in all, a bad experience, and I would advise against booking with this charter company.
