Horrific communication and poor build quality/installation
My husband purchased a truck cap from Kurt’s Caps in late 2025/early 2026, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Within weeks, the hinges on the windoors began failing. Upon inspection, it was clear the door was cobbled together with incorrect parts.
The most frustrating part isn't even the defective product—it’s the complete lack of accountability to correct the faulty installation. For the last 4–6 weeks, we have reached out repeatedly. On the rare occasion my husband can speak with someone on the phone, they promise to 'look into it' and call back. They never do. They also ignore messages entirely. For a company that claims to pride itself on quality and service, we’ve seen zero evidence of either. We are out $5,000 for a defective product with no solution in sight.
We always prefer to support local small businesses, but based on this experience, I absolutely cannot recommend Kurt's Caps to anyone who expects quality or basic professional communication.
