I purchased a Kumfi Kombi collar within a week whilst walking my dog the collar snapped on the chain part. Thank god I was not near a road and my dog did not run away. I contacted the company to advise them so this does nit happen to anyone else and a dog gets injured or worse. their response . Go back to the shop and get a replacement. No apology nothing . Awful !!!

I was horrified this morning when just into our walk down a normally very busy duel carriageway the collar snapped! It is very fortunate that traffic was light and my nine month old German Wirehaired Pointer stayed in the central grass area. He enjoyed his freedom for a good fifteen minutes, running up and down but fortunately not into the road on either side. I eventually persuaded him to return via my pocket full of treats. It was a very traumatic experience as it could so easily have ended in my dog being run over.

On inspection I found that the chain ring had not been welded together so allowing the chain to pull through the gap. This is a serious design flaw which should not have gone through even the most basic of quality checks. It has certainly severely dented my confidence in the whole of the Kumfi Canine Products range. When I contacted them about the fault they simply said they would refund purchase price. No mention of checking their quality control methods.
