If this review of KTAFX had to be contained into a single sentence it would simply read, “if you are genuinely serious about learning to trade successfully the educational products offered by KTAFX are outstanding and a rare thing in today’s overcrowded and often bogus Forex market place.” Rather than offer a one sentence review of KTAFX I want to give an in-depth and truthful account of a company who helped me in more ways than I could imagine. As an individual who often takes to review platforms such as these to try and get a clearer and less commercialised understanding of a product, I am often left a little disappointed reading overly short and cliché summaries of companies and the services they provide. This I think is especially true for the FX market and one reason I was sucked into buying a number of services from other less scrupulous trading companies.
In 2017 I paid for a ’12-month apprenticeship course with SOFX an ‘educational trading company’ operating out of Southampton U.K. The £12,999 fee was supposed to provide me with a number of trading products, services and formal qualifications. As I came to discover, the only worthwhile element of the course was the ‘Intuitional Trader face-to-face program’ provided by a third party—Knights Bridge Trading Academy. Here are my thoughts regarding KTAFX’s ‘Intuitional Trader face-to-face program’: Held mainly at the London Stock Exchange and taught over 7 days, it is hands down, the most intellectually stimulating and knowledge enhancing trading course you are ever likely to go on. The course leaders have decades of experience in some of London’s largest financial trading institutions and were keen to share their wisdom and answer my questions in considerable depth! The course leaders come from a wide range of trading backgrounds; charting analysts, account managers, forex traders, ect.
The course was professionally organized and taught in small groups (12) to maximize opportunities for more detailed discussions between the course leaders and the students. The small group size also allowed each of us to receive more substantial individual feedback—something I found particularly helpful, especially towards the latter stages of the course when revising in preparation for the CICS exam. The course materials provided were genuinely excellent, with each student being given a large ‘theory pack’ that included a detailed summary of the relevant pieces of information we needed to know each day. To cement our knowledge after each topic and module we were regularly asked to complete short quizzes and more formal question papers—yes, it is intense, but regularly breaks (and free coffee!) made each session very enjoyable. The learning atmosphere created by the course facilitators was always one of fun and collaborative thinking. Clearly, a lot of care and preparation goes into offering each student the best possible experience.
Unlike other trading courses sold online which do result in any formally recognized qualification, upon completion of the ITTP, students are booked to sit the CICS level 3 certificate: ‘Introduction to Securities and Investment’. Don’t get me wrong, the exam is tough and does require individual preparation away from the group sessions, but I found that the course so in-depth and all-encompassing that you finish with a huge amount of knowledge. I passed my exam first time, however, if students do not pass on the first attempt, KTAFX offer a free re-sit.

James Lawrence who runs and organises the ITTP (CEO of KTAFX) was very approachable and took a real interest in our learning on the course, he was keen to hear our thoughts as to how the course could be improved further. Away from the programme, when I explained the issues I had with SOFX, James was keen to help me. He did not charge for any of the advice he gave me and spent his own time working with me to secure a refund. Hugely grateful for his expertise.

All in all, KTAFX have set the bar high in offering a well-rounded, and trading course that will give beginners a solid foundation in trading if they want to pursue a career in the financial markets. Since finishing the ITTP I now regularly trade the forex market as a professional trader.
