I am frustrated with KrispCall.
After being a user for 3 years, I am really tired of the fake calls and SMS messages that I receive, which waste my credits.
I use this for WhatsApp, and you can’t disable receiving calls or messages. Every time someone calls or sends an SMS, I lose a credit—even if I don’t want it. This feels like a total scam. Why am I paying KrispCall for calls or messages that I didn’t request?
They tell me to block the number. Okay, I lose the credit, and then the same thing happens again from a different number. Total joke. Stay away from this company.

We completely understand how disappointing it feels to lose credits due to unsolicited calls or SMS. To clarify, inbound calls and messages are billed by telecom carriers globally, and credits are deducted whenever a call or SMS reaches your number, even if it’s spam. Unfortunately, this is a limitation across the telephony ecosystem and not something KrispCall alone can control. That said, we agree this is far from ideal and take your concerns seriously.
While we do provide options like number blocking, we acknowledge that blocking individual numbers isn’t always effective when spam originates from multiple sources. In such cases, we can help by blocking incoming calls from specific countries if the spam is region-based. Alternatively, we can also assist with replacing your phone number with a new one if that would improve your experience.

We got a number through Krispcall, and have set it up and all. From there, the service looked okay.
Software and its interfaces work fine.
However, we feel there are some issues that must be misunderstandings in their agreements with their suppliers, as several of their services are useless as you can't use them fully, including with any CRM integration.
This is the issue.
You cannot send SMS messages to a Kenyan Mobile number unless you register your number as an alphanumeric Sender ID. This means the receiver of your SMS cannot reply to it, which makes the service worthless. However, without registration, a Kenyan number can send you an SMS, but now you cannot reply, which means the number is useless in connection with any CRM system, and you can not follow any conversation in a CRM system.
And they say this is not just Kenya, but also other countries.
The AlphaNumeric Sender ID is a service that is used by companies sending out BULK SMS's (SPAM) or service announcements, which is not the purpose of our number, but for communication.
So we are told it is the same issue for Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Zambia.
However, alphanumeric registration is not required to send SMS to South African or Canadian numbers.
Here, we feel that they must not have the right agreements, as we know other companies do not have this issue. Some of the other companies also offer Alphanumeric Sender ID, but you can also have the normal service, with two-way communication.
That said, there could be a misunderstanding somewhere in their system.
We can only use our number through WhatsApp and with ordinary phone calls with our Partners, colleagues, and customers.
Our old provider had no problem with it.
So all in all, remember to ask all the right questions before signing up for a service.

In regions like South Africa and Canada, carrier rules are different, which is why two-way SMS works normally there. While we know this can be inconvenient—especially if your previous provider handled it differently—we’re continuously working with carriers to improve coverage and options.
