I don't recommend it for small transactions and payments. Although the fees are stated on the website, they're still very high, both for depositing money and for withdrawing cypto. Also, the app is unstable, constantly disconnecting and asking for pins and codes.

They don't actually have 1/3 of the coins they say they offer. They make you pay transaction and exchange fees, but actually you don't get any wallet and any coins anywhere. They show you a number but you cant withdraw it. you can only pay more fees to sell it for USD, or exchange it but only for USDT. Every other exchange option has a "request" button that does nothing. Paying again more in the process for something you don't have, and I doubt they do have any also. I didn't try any major coins, And I wouldn't bother after seeing this! At least 1/3 of their services is a scam. I wouldn't trust them with my money.

Very complicatet funds deposit. All thats checks.. and wen I send them all documentations, then they asking for another few. It's a mission impossible. I understand EU regulations, but that is too much. I stop using kriptomat for that reason.

Kriptomat used to be an easy-to-use and secure place to buy, sell & store crypto. Well that has changed. Apparently, all customers based in the Netherlands are being ditched. All your currencies will be sold and turned into EUR, which you can withdraw (hopefully).
Support won't say much but keeps referring to an email sent on 15 March 2023, which I haven't received. No issues with any of the other emails from them btw. Oh and no resent or reminder.
No info on the site and no further info from support. Just this...
"We kindly suggest finding this email for the full scope of the situation. Unfortunately, once the Netherlands authorities implemented the restrictions, we were obligated to terminate our services, otherwise, we would be breaking the law.
Kriptomat's main priority is staying compliant with international regulations for financial services companies and complete transparency with our users.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused."
Update 19 April 2023
Re: "if you have received the final email yesterday, that means you have received previous emails as well." > that one hasn't been received. Are you sure you guys have sent? What I received yesterday were a bunch of emails about crypto ABC, DEF, GHI til XYZ have been sold. That was the reason I contacted support.
Re: "this decision is not our attitude or business decision"> that's not what this review is about. The lack of communication is what the review is about. No emails have been received and support that basically gives you the run-around.
Also, the email requesting "transcript of these emails" and log files has been sent.
Update 20 April 2023
News from Kripomat's Head of the Customer Success Team....
* "In-debt investigation with the technical team has confirmed that you were not notified about the event and were left out of the communication cycle."
* "Your account was excluded from the final notification list because you withdrew funds immediately after all cryptocurrencies were automatically sold" > that was after 1) receiving the emails about all my cryptocurrencies being sold and 2) contacting support who basically said a) we don't do things like that and b) ah you're Dutch so you should have read the emails (that were never sent to me). As I no longer had faith in the company I withdraw the Euro amount the next day. Wasn't going to let them take that away as well.
* "In the meantime, we can do nothing but offer you our sincere apology for this miscommunication that took place, and we are also conducting an internal investigation to find out how your email got excluded and to learn and improve our procedures to ensure this does not happen again in the future." > Great [sarcastic mode]... To be honest, I don't really care about why or how it has happened. The biggest issue is a) taking my stuff away and b) not communicating about it and putting blame at the customer.
This will be the last update. The case is closed. I just hope this doesn't happen to other / future customers of Kriptomat.

After a few days using it and only a transaction from euro to BTC, everything seems to work perfect.
I've been using its website and android app.
It seems to me that access to the platform is very safe
