The user interface and process is easy to understand and the system works smoothly

It’s pretty easy to hook up with appropriate editors.
You could make it more intuitive as far as transferring money to the freelancer once the project was completed.

In fact, I still don’t know how to do it and I’m waiting for my freelancer to tell me how. Obviously, I shouldn’t have to do that.

I used to be more active on Kolabtree but less so as time went on. I have only 5-star reviews, so my performance is not the issue. However, 90% or more of the potential clients I encounter are a nightmare. Some have been perverted, narcissistic, or just plain disrespectful while complaining the other contractors on there disappear or don't treat them right . . . yet totally disrepecting me, a contractor who has been nothing but detailed, diligent, and responsible for all my projects. People try their best to get free services from you, bargain the price down after you do the work to their satisfaction, tell you they want to follow up with product questions and have you write out questionnares or forms over the weekend then dissappear without a trace. Every time I think I might check in to try to get a little more extra income, I always regret it.

I just would like to have some certainty that the person I'm talking with is actually the real person and not a scam. I understand that this is not yet implemented for a startup project, but should be considered in a later phase.

Thank goodness Kolabtree exists! I'm certain I could have learned how to annotate my sequence but there's no question it would have taken me 10 times longer to do than the freelancer I hired. Finding qualified freelancers was straightforward, the website provided a secure forum for our discussions, and it was simple to deposit funds and then pay the freelancer. I will use Kolabtree again and have already recommended it to colleagues.

As a freelancer using the platform, everything is smoothly run: from the negotiation of the different projects to the final payment.

The only drawback I see, are the fees, since they typically charge 20% of the total project amount on the freelancer side. Maybe, a more fair scheme could envision sharing this cost between contractors and freelancers. In this way, everyone is aware about fees and project offers can suggest a more realistic price/cost range.

Communication on the platform was easy, as well as receiving the necessary files for the project I carried out. The person who asked was polite and explained the details well.

Sending the task was also done directly in the conversation, easily and intuitively.

Worked OK. The system is a little complex compared to other expert website (and the fee is certainly higher). That said, I was able to email and get my questions answered in 24 hours.
