What a fantastic experience!
I don't like heat and I thought I'd find the whole thing gruelling & too hot, but it was my favourite thing we did in Oslo! You sit in the sauna, then go diving into the Oslo Fjord, which was so exciting (you can also gently lower yourself while standing on a ladder of just dip your feet).

We did this multiple times before the sauna worker did a whole experience for us, with scented oils, a real turn up in the heat and occasional splashes of cold water. It was very heartening and made the body feel great. The staff were wonderful and informative, and even gave us a bit of extra time as we were the last session of the day. We managed to get such a great group of people inside the sauna, so we chatted, relaxed and enjoyed the experience together.

This is a must do if you are in Oslo! The staff is superb and right from the start they get you quickly oriented to the floating spa. The sauna is wonderfully warm and steamy with regular visits from an attendant. Jumping in the fjord is so welcome after the heat of the spa - though it takes a bit of courage the first time! By the end of our time we were doing flips and cannon balls! Bring 2 towels and plenty of water - and throw in some aquavit! We had a blast.
