I recently completed the "Becoming a Proofreader" course from Knowadays, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience. If you are looking for a professional, self-paced, and truly supportive environment to start a freelance career, you can’t go wrong this course.
The tutor support at Knowadays is exceptional. My tutors, Rebecca and Laura, couldn’t do enough to help and I wouldn’t have passed without their help, support and encouragement. Their feedback was amazing and I really felt like they were genuinely invested in my success.

Excellent Intro to the Basics
I really appreciate the self-paced courses at Knowadays. The fact-checking class was ready when I was. This is a topic that I've been curious about since I first heard about it. The class taught what types of facts that one should look for and how to go about checking them against reputable sources. It also covers image checking (is it showing what you think it shows?), including clues that it might be AI-generated. All good content and relevant practice exercises. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have an intermediate course or practicum to follow this course. I highly recommend this course if you are looking for a solid introduction to fact-checking.

I have recently finished my course on Becoming a Proofreader and passed with distinction. The material is presented in a crisp, modern and graspable fashion. Every detail is explored in depth from spelling and punctuation to grammar, tone, different ways written works would be presented in different fields and beyond. I had a truly pleasant experience working through the course at my own pace and the added resources are invaluable. Whenever I needed assistance in any regard the team jumped right on it or provided me with the necessary information at lightning speed. When the time came to complete my final assignment, I felt prepared and knew Knowadays had provided me with all the knowledge and further resources I could possibly need.

The material is very thorough and hands-on. It covers the nuts and bolts of proofreading, but also the larger picture of trying to work as a freelancer. The fact that the course is self-paced made a huge difference for me as a mom.
