After not receiving my order for over a week, I chased it up, and was then told that the order wasn't due to be baked for two more days. When I suggested this sort of wait wasn't normal and asked why the bakery is selling stock they don't have, Tanya got hostile and cancelled my order.

I really wanted to love this bread because the ingredients are so clean and the "mother" in the sourdough clearly has a great, distinguished flavor. However, the texture was a massive disappointment. Despite the marketing claims of having "cracked it," the loaf was dense, dry, and hard reminiscent of GF bread from 25 years ago.
It’s essentially inedible for sandwiches, and even as toast, it took three cycles to get color and had to be smothered in toppings to be palatable. Compared to modern GF options like M&S Sourdough, this just isn't there yet. I appreciate the "no nasties" approach, but it needs something to help with moisture retention. Unfortunately, at £20 for the order, I won't be a returning customer.
The BEST gluten free bread.
I bought the starter pack for two coeliac members of the family but it is so good that the non coeliac’s were eating it too!
Gf Supermarket bread is full of terrible ingredients and so I don’t buy it and I don’t have time to make my own but this you can eat knowing that you aren’t harming your health and it is delicious.
We have to portion the bread to make it last as it is expensive compared to regular bread but it’s worth every penny in my opinion.
Delivery was also excellent.
Thank you knife and fork bakery for bringing bread back into our lives!!!

Wow! Am gutted. All breads dense and tasteless and the same. Was so excited at the prospect of delicious gf bread that may tastes a bit like normal bread but was no where near.
Sorry K&F I know you say your ingredients are natural which may be true but the bread is dense and the taste is not great and very same-y. Palatable, but I agree there are better products like Gail’s loaf, Schar bread rolls and even a brand in Tescos that hits the spot. Much cheaper and maybe less natural ingredients but taste needs to be MUCH better!

Very disappointed with the bread. It arrived well packaged but very small loaves compared with the cleverly photographed ones that looked normal loaf size on the website. Bread was very dense, excessively crumbly and tasteless. Unpleasant eating experience and only tolerable toasted in small slices smothered in butter and jam. Far inferior to shop bought “promise” or “made without” alternatives. Extremely expensive , won’t be buying again.

Am very pleased with products and services from k&f bakery. I’ve been using them for a couple of years now and never been disappointed.
Am about to try the apricot loaf as not had before.
Some people have described the bread to be a little heavy but you get used to it. It’s a small price to pay for well made G F bread that doesn’t have all the unnecessary extra additives that are present in S M bread. It is expensive but I’d rather have a smaller amount of good bread than the other tasteless type.
Just remember to order in plenty of time as once it’s gone for that week there is no more till next week!

I am a Coeliac and I love the bread, no Ultra Processed Food additives and it tastes delicious. I've been buying regularly for a while now and don't buy anything else. I've tried most of their selection and love it all.

When tests identified multiple allergies several years ago, I became gluten free but with a complex array of other foods I had to avoid.. I was unable to eat any supermarket bread at all. I looked on line, and again had difficulty until I found the knife and fork bakery. Because of their range of different breads I am not only able to eat different daily breads, I also get the chance to eat some festive and seasonal loaves (which I buy in bulk, slice and freeze so I can eat it through the year 😋☺️). GF products are not always palatable but I always find the products from knife and fork bakery are delicious!

Excellent variety of healthy, wholesome and tasty, reliably gluten free, breads.
Delivery service is excellent. Bread arrives the day after baking - never been let down.
Quality has been consistently excellent over the five years I have been a customer.

As someone seeking gluten free bread made with natural ingredients, I have been really happy with my orders to Knife & Fork Bakery. A special shout out for their focaccia which I portion up into 4 & freeze. It’s the best focaccia I’ve ever eaten (gluten free or not!). I eat the other bread toasted, freezing it portioned up - it slices brilliantly pre-freezing, but benefits from toasting. It all feels good and healthy and I’m very grateful that I found the company. My thanks to them.

I love the g/f bread from this small, independent, artisan g/f bakery. I have struggled for years with not being able to eat g/f bread from the supermarket because it always contains egg or maize or xanthan gum. At last, I have found a g/f bread which doesn’t contain any of these ingredients and is wholesome and tasty and satisfyingly filling! Also, it doesn’t contain any nasty stabilisers or preservatives. Just slice it on the day of delivery and put it in your freezer. Then take out and defrost or toast each time you want it. Perfect!

I cannot recommend The Bakery by Knife & Fork highly enough! Their gluten-free bread is hands down the best I've ever tasted — and I’ve tried a lot. From the tangy depth of the sourdough to the comforting heartiness of the farmhouse loaves, every bite feels like real bread — not the dry, crumbly substitute we so often settle for.
Their focaccia is a revelation: light, flavourful, and perfect with a drizzle of olive oil or served alongside soup. And the granola? Absolutely divine — crunchy, wholesome, and full of nourishing ingredients. You can tell everything is made with care, from scratch, and without the long list of unpronounceable chemicals that often come with shop-bought gluten-free products.
Everything is made to order and delivered exactly when promised, fresh and beautifully packaged. It feels like a treat and a health boost all in one.
Thank you for creating food that’s as good for the body as it is for the soul!

Great healthy gluten free beard.
Bread without gluten is not comparable with bread containing gluten. As long as you accept this, Knife and Fork bread is tasty, wonderful and we love it. The whole family particularly love the focaccia. Tasty! 😋

Ordering is easy online and the delivery service is excellent.
The bread itself is the best gf bread I’ve come across and is all natural ingredients. I tend to batch order and freeze to make the most of delivery cost. I love all the bread but especially the large sliced farmhouse.

What a super find!
I have tried the Farmhouse, cinnamon & date, the sourdough & both of the granola.
All absolutely delicious.
The cinnamon is my favourite at the moment as so many different ways to eat it. Great on its own, toasted with butter & have even made it into a bread & butter pudding!
Need to try the turmeric & cumin next.
Arrives when they it's going to & great customer service too.
Whats not to love!
Thankyou 😋

Great bread. Feels like you’re eating something wholesome that’s good for you and a long way from supermarket GF bread.

Clear descriptions on an easy to use website. Ordering is simple and my bread came after it had been freshly baked a few days later. So delicious, i have been baking bread for 10 years or more but sadly can no longer tolerate gluten. I can’t make gluten free bread this good. Thank you bakers.
