What Happened to Kings Park Hotel?
Yesterday, my family and I visited Kings Park Hotel expecting to enjoy delicious cuisine, but unfortunately, most of us left with sore stomachs and utter bewilderment. Kings Park has always been a staple for great food and a welcoming atmosphere; however, our experience on 02/05/2026 was not only lacklustre but also, frankly, an embarrassment. A few of the entrees were simply unbearable to eat.
To begin with, the menu was sticky and outdated, and many of the dishes we wanted, like the Chicken Caprice and Steak, were unavailable. We were seated in a banquet room without any staff to attend to us, and the lone waitress was struggling to service thirteen guests, citing another gathering as the reason. This level of service was disappointing, especially since we have always chosen Kings Park Hotel for its atmosphere and attentive staff, who this time seemed to be replaced by unhappy new faces. Only three staffers I recognized during my family's dining remain, and they continue to smile, even though I can only imagine a new ownership that does not care about the staff, quality, or service at Kings Park Hotel.
It’s worth mentioning that my wedding reception was held here and the food was excellent, so I know what the hotel is capable of. Sadly, most of the entrees were cold or greasy, and the overall vibe was far removed from previous visits. Five family members returned their starters and main courses due to poor quality, and the food being too cold and overcooked. And two others are still recovering from the lacklustre food.
I am deeply disappointed because the quality has noticeably declined. I recently learned that the hotel’s ownership has changed, and with it, so have the high standards we were accustomed to. Please do better, because replacing quality with a cheaper version does not win fans or keep customers coming back. Kings Park Hotel, you owe it to your loyal patrons to restore what made you special.
