Bad From DAY 1
From the start, when they added a $1000 a month service subscription without being upfront about it, we were underwhelmed. Next up were the receipts they sent to donors. They were not recognizable as a donation receipts - the "From" was something like "information". And we would have had to hire an outside expert to fix the from issue. Deleting users was something only the admin could do. Any help request was slow, and the staff was underqualified and overwhelmed. Then they discontinued Kindful and stopped supporting it. Transitioning to Bloomerang was free (gee, thanks), but there was a lengthy downtime, and no one could tell us exactly how to do it.
The reviews on site are fake. They do not allow you to rate the products on the website
Order took 6 weeks to arrive, once it said it was shipped, I used the tracking app. About day 5 after it shipped (it shouldn't have taken more than 3 business days to arrive) I checked the tracking again and it said no order found. I emailed the company...no response...at all. Order finally showed up and the shirts are extremely thin and small. I usually wear an XL and bought a 3X just in case, still is too small for me. I spent a bunch of money (I ordered some for my co-workers) for a really inspirational message and I can't even wear it. You cannot leave a review on their site.
Extremely Slow Report Generation – Major Impact on Workflow
I have been using the Kindful platform for four years. However, for the past six months, I have been facing a recurring issue with report generation. Regardless of the type of report — even those containing very small amounts of data — the system takes hours to generate them.
I have submitted several support requests over the past four months. The response has consistently been:"We certainly always wish for reports to generate as quickly as possible, however, increased traffic on the Kindful platform will affect the processing time for reports at times."
It is clear that they do not have a solution to the problem.
It is unacceptable for a report that previously took one minute to now require several hours. This makes it impossible to rely on generating a report when needed, forcing users to plan several hours ahead. This severely impacts my workflow and overall efficiency.
Unfortunately, due to this ongoing issue, I cannot recommend the platform.

they mislead readers / customers by not telling the truth or old information. They publish wrong information in their comparison, probably to promote their Affiliates and earn affiliate money.

Would not correct our integration for our database. Their explanation of the process was poor, I reached out because I didn't understand and received a basic, read it again response, I downloaded my database to the best of my understanding, needless to say it was wrong, I couldn't run correct reports, I spent a lot of time with one of the techs trying to fix it, after a month, they had "Fixed it" and when I went in, it was still very wrong. I reached out again and told them my only solution was to truly start all over again with the process, wipe everything out and start over. They refused to do this and then I wanted to terminate and they wouldn't refund any of our money. It was a very long and inconvenient process and I went back to my old database and will not renew with them. The whole purpose of a database is have correct information, if you can't work with me until it is correct, then that defeats the purpose.
getting ripped off
I placed a order on 9/29/23 for a lp tank and used there tracking site, according to tracking site the tank is in and delivered to plainville ct, I live minnesota, tryed to contact them by phone , no answer sent a message on there web site, no answer. so I got ripped off. beware of this company..FYI the company I bought the tank from is called Kindeful not Kindful. Not sure this review got posted for the correct company
Kindful used to be awesome
Kindful used to be awesome. No more. Kindful was purchased by Boomerang and is now marked for obsolescence.
Support is marked by long delays and a near complete lack of caring. Integrations are poorly maintained and weeks go by without response to tech support problems and customer service isn't helpful.
It's pretty sad.
Kindful has never been very user friendly, but was reliable and had good people to help you. Those people seemed to have moved on.
Bias Agenda
This company does not support conservative values. Their platform is designed to accommodate their political views. I would not recommend Kindful due to their bias agenda.
When Kindful in not Kind
Our small nonprofit did a lot of research when choosing a donor management system. Our choice landed with Kindful. After 6 months of onboarding experience, and a few uploading issues that corrupter our financial management program, QuickBooks, we had to break our ties with Kindful. If we had renewed, they would have honored a $600 discount, but with our poor experience, we decided not to renew. I am very disappointed they told us they would not honor any type of financial refund, despite the hours we had to pay employees to fix their mistake. I caution you, do not allow Kindful to sync by uploading to Quickbooks, until you are sure everything has been imported correctly into Kindful during your onboarding sessions.

Overall a great system that helped us get from spreadsheets offline to a full blown way to keep in touch with our all of our donors and supporters.
Kindful is a great platform!
Kindful is a great platform for us to track donors, keep up with trends in giving, and research new tools that we can use to be more effective. We use it daily to make sure we are keeping up with our supporters and its interface is easy and navigable for the entire staff.
Growing with Kindful
Having used Kindful for almost one year, we have experienced greater visibility of fundraising efforts and contact with donors/partners. Additionally, the integrations with other key software has made Kindful my one stop shop for health of our organization.
Great program for a small non-profit
Great program for a small non-profit. Customer support has been great and the ease of navigating the program is wonderful
Kindful is dynamic, yet easy to use
I've really loved how easy Kindful has made running our online donations. Before it was just a hectic mess of spreadsheets emailed back and forth and now our whole team can be on the same page. The program gives us enough flexibility to build what we need but it is user-friendly enough that all members of our team - despite varying tech capability - can all manage and use the program.

Kindful is amazing and has helped our team become more efficient and effective. We also feel like it is a much more personable CRM and donor management tool. We changed recently changed systems and they have been very supportive in our transition to ensure we've been successful.
Not as good as what we were told/sold!
We purchased Kindful one year ago and I knew this was going to be the answer to our problems. Our salesperson did an excellent job of selling but unfortunately that is where it has ended.
It is not user-friendly. It does not work well with Quickbooks. It is not an easy transition or download from an existing product. It is not report friendly.
I would actually give it a lower rating except everyone has been so "Kind". The helpdesk is better than average.
This transition has been a nightmare and I do not see it getting a lot better.
Sorry!
Great platform with a wonderful team behind it!
Kindful is an excellent tool and their team members have been incredibly responsive and helpful with any issues we have.

We made the switch from a high dollar fundraising system to Kindful about a year ago. At first, we questioned ourselves but over time we have learned to adapt. Kindful has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year.
I absolutely love the Kindful platform
I absolutely love the Kindful platform. More than that, I'm always impressed with the customer service support and how they continually strive to improve functionality!
