Faulty batteries and poor customer service
Faulty batteries, claimed warranty only 6months which is clearly in breach of Australian Consumer laws and what any reasonable person is to expect for a item costing $500. After contacting customer service, advising I requested that it be replaced, waiting for a response over a week and denied obligations, have since raised it through department of fair trading. A simple process should have been resolved instead of having to deal with a lack of accountability and customer service.
False advertising and a crappy product
Kids motorbike was advertised as suitable for 3-8 year olds but my just 5 year old (18kg - so well within the weight limit) is too big for it and will have completely outgrown it in about a month. It has zero power on even a 3% incline. It came with crappy instructions eg. ‘Use the supplied screws to assemble the vehicle’ leaving me to guess which piece goes where with what screw and absolutely no response from customer service when I tried to return it.
Poor quality
My daughter received a pink hilux for her 1st birthday and I was not overly impressed that the electrical side of the car is not pre wired/ assembled. Once I figured out how to wire the car up we found that the remote control only works when it wants and I believe it was supposed to come with personalised plates which it did not. Iv read other reviews where you state your a small family run business but that's a terrible excuse for providing a crappy product. I suggest you open each box when they land from China and do a quality check.
Great experience purchasing a 24v Toyota Hilux
I was scared after reading all these bad reviews that I would have a similar situation. People don’t seem to share the good experiences, mainly only bad stuff. I’ve had a really great experience purchasing a ride on car from Kidz Auto. I purchased it on the 17-09-22 and received it today 22-09-22. I didn’t expect to get it so soon! That’s coming from NSW to Regional South Australia.
As for the car - it’s a 24v Toyota hilux and it was brand new as described in great working order. It didn’t take too long to set up and my 3 kids have had such a blast. I was so nervous waiting for it, and I had nothing to worry about. Thanks Kidz Auto.
Do not trust!!!
I spent $450 on an electronic car and personalised plates for my son on 10/4, with an estimated delivery date of 18/4, yet here I am on 28 April with no car nor plates, and no idea whether or if it's ever going to arrive.
I've contacted the seller numerous times to try and resolve the issue. Last response I received was 7 days again when Daniel claimed the postage company (Border Express) had lost the item and he was following it up. I called Border Express and they asserted it is their protocol to immediately scan the item, and as there is no record of this ever happening, they can only assume they never received the item. They're pretty irate that Kidz Auto are blaming them. They also said that in their experience, Kidz Auto should have sent me a replacement car while they followed up the issue with Border Express.
I've opened a case with PayPal to get a refund as the seller is refusing, and I'm going to follow up with a complaint to ACCC for selling an item with a misleading delivery timeframe.
I have no idea why there has been such a delay. I can only assume Kidz Auto purchases the item elsewhere when they receive an order, and that there's been a delay in them receiving the car to send to me.
Regardless of why, I have a 2 year old who is devastated that the car I promised him isn't coming.

They said oh we fix two to three of the Ferrari’s a month - I hate to think how many other models they also helping to ‘fix’.
All we’ve ended up with is a very expensive problem, two very upset children and awful support.
Poor quality product
The service has been ok but the product arrived not working & after trouble shooting and replacement parts it’s still not working - In my opinion the company needs to focus on quality control of the product because these cars are not cheap ! $500, 6 months later and it’s never worked it’s so frustrating for poor little kids that just want to play with their bday present. I wouldn’t bother again.

Well I will start with purchased 4x4 buggy 24v. Was told it’s ready for collection so went to pick it up during my lunch. Got to the depot so but didn’t you get the msg it’s damaged in transit.
Ok well thanks. So one whole week later after a disappointed email I had a replacement car that was stuck in transport in the same place for 3 days after another email from us asking why it’s still waiting to be shipped. Next day it arrives. Took it from the box.
Looks ok. As assembly required. Lifted to put wheels of noticed that some underneath plastics broken. Forced together. Screws overnight and lugs broken. Sent photos disappointed. Then reading the instructions I paid for as advertised 24v even but the invoice 24v there diagram clearly shows that I have a 12volt one but once I told them that it’s 12 v not 24 I was told no it’s 24 cause it has two 12v batteries. Once I said sorry but that’s not what makes 24volts. It’s the way the two batteries are wired. Cross - from one battery + from the other. Giving you the output from the other two -+ give 24v. Not the case. They hav - - and ++
Not happy. Given them 24hrs to amend nothing. Manager not replied because they have falsely advertised.

I can't thank the team at Kidz Auto enough. Ordered a car for my little boy's birthday. I was super stressed it would not arrive on time. The lady I spoke with assured me and spoke with me every few days to keep me calm. It arrived with plenty of time to spare. I had a bad experience with online shopping because I have been ripped off before, so having the reassurance was a godsend! Thankyou so much Kidz Auto, I can't wait to see my baby's face on his birthday. The car looks unreal and the keys are just the cutest! Highly reccomend this company!

First of all, this is the worst costumer service I have ever experienced!
The car broke down 6 months after my sons first birthday and we (finally)!!! Have someone to pick it up just in time for his second birthday!! Yes that’s right, it took them 6 months to reply to several emails, not answering phone calls and send someone to pick up the car.
Wish we never purchased this piece of rubbish!! Disgusting!
4WD Jeep RC ride-on
Purchased a 4WD Jeep RC ride-on. Service was excellent and they worked hard to get it out to me in time for my son’s birthday, despite me leaving it to the last safe moment. One of the parts eventually failed, which the company replaced free of charge, despite falling outside the warranty window. Communication was always timely and professional. I would highly recommend this company if you’re looking for a great toy for the kids.

Disgusting customer service
Purchased a number plate on the 27th of December 2020 as of today (6th of January 2021) I have no received a single shred of communication regarding my order. I’ve sent enquiry after enquiry but still no response. My next step is to comment on Facebook posts. Shouldn’t have to chase up a seller to send their customer their product they have paid for!!
Great birthday present!
My son loves his Ford Ranger. Ordered online, was ready for pick up within a few days. Customer service was great, I contacted them regarding the pick up and they responded straight away.

I ordered the bulldozer for my grandson…
I ordered the bulldozer for my grandson for Christmas. I received the best service from this company. I left a message on the phone and they got back to me straight away. The bulldozer was delivered with in the week. We put the bulldozer together so easy. The bulldozer was so much better than I expected. It go's fantastic. My grandson is going to be over the moon with this. Thank you so much for your fantastic service. I will be getting more next year.

Terrible customer service, awful communication with customers
**Update: since asking on their Facebook page how to go about getting my money back, it appears I have been blocked
Long story short... bought a quad bike for grandsons birthday, plenty of stock and can pick up in 2 days so paid over the phone and waiting for further instructions re pick up, no further communication from merchant at all, limited communication with dispatch telling me nothing, tried to chase up info but no response, email and text to cancel order, got immediate response and gave another chance. Still could not accommodate me picking up in time for birthday, quad cancelled, a week later still no refund and no response to phone/text/email. Bank now involved. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY

No communication
Purchased a car a week ago and haven't had a confirmation email or any communications. I've emailed and called, left messages with no response. So now I'm left thinking this is either a scam or just horrible customer service. $500 is a lot of money to charge someone and not tell them what has happened to it. If I ever hear back I'll update.
ETA: they got back to me super quick after posting here and it's on its way, computer error!

Purchased a quad for our sons 7th birthday last year from Kidz Auto, handle mechanism snapped after 5 months, they sent us a new replacement part it snapped again, then a couple months later (just outside of the 6month warranty) the quad just stopped powering up, we bought a new battery, it still doesn't power or charge! The biggest waste of $250 ever and our son is so, so sad. He had a Kid Trax quad which ran beautifully for a good 2 years before it gave up before we got this one, unfortunately can no longer get Kid Trax types of 12V quads here in Australia so tried Kidz Auto thinking it would be similar, it is NOT! Do not waste your money and more importantly don't make your kids depressed when their expensive electronic ride on stops working after a few short months. Terrible!

BUYERS BEWARE!! I purchased a ford ranger for $449 on the 1st of May and paid an extra $70 for it to be sent by toll, I received a confirmation email as soon as I put my order through. On the 2nd of May (the next day) I was sent a toll tracking number from kidz auto. The expected delivery date was 08/05/19 but on the 7th of May I received an email to let me know it was out of stock! Now I’m waiting for a refund which they keep saying will be processed as soon as possible. Please save yourself the headache and save your money and go elsewhere!
