The children who have taken part in your sessions have made good improvements in several areas since. We are seeing excellent progress in fine motor skills across the board, such as legibility and fluency of handwriting, which has been aided by ergonomic pens and pencil grips. The sessions have also helped the children in tasks when using their rulers and holding them properly, supporting them in every lesson, but especially when drawing shapes in Maths and underlining their date and learning objective.
Overall, the children from the focus group have grown in confidence with using different pieces of stationery, which has helped them to feel more like independent learners.
The advice that was passed onto myself and my teaching assistant by yourselves was invaluable and will help us to incorporate different strategies to support children throughout the next academic year and beyond.
