I'd rather gave 0 stars, unclear extra fees charged of +€900

I'd rather gave 0 stars.

I've been charged more than €900 in 1 month on extra costs for charging on my ow charging station! KIA charge wasn't able to clearly explain where these costs come from, yet they took the money off of my bank account.
This happened after 1,5 years of using their pass on different charging stations combined with my own. Never any problem, suddenly in 2026 without any warning massive extra costs.

Kia is a great brand, KIA Charge is a disaster. Never use their card

Unexpected charges months later, confusing billing, and terrible support — avoid this service

I signed up for Kia Charge during a trip, hoping it would work for our EV. The service never worked — not a single charging session ever started successfully. Even with the “Plus” subscription, prices were high and the app was unreliable.

After giving up, the account was cancelled, yet months later Digital Charging Solutions GmbH suddenly charged my card €9.97 for three old invoices. This is extremely unfair and confusing. The subscription never delivered value, billing was delayed, and it is unclear who is actually responsible — Kia or DCS. Customer support was unhelpful and gave only generic explanations.

This has been one of the worst EV charging experiences I’ve had. I strongly recommend avoiding Kia Charge and any service operated by Digital Charging Solutions GmbH until they fix their billing and transparency issues.

Misleading pricing and poor customer service

They advertise that the premium subscription is free for two years if you buy a Kia ev9. I did and send them the proof I did 2 months ago. In the meantime they have charged 4 months of subscription and still haven’t resolved this. Additionally for one charging event I was charged around EUR 1.2 per KWh. There was no clear warning when I started charging that this would be the case nor can you search their app based on charging prices. I recommend using a different provider. This service and the customer service sucks.
