Been using kewtech MFTs and accessories for around 7 years now and im never changing. Started out with the kt63 for domestic which I couldnt believe the consistency in regards the continuity setting. I previously used company MFTs but always had kewtech leads no matter the brand. Once I parted with the 63 I had a 63plus which was amazing too but couldn't resist the temptation and bought a KT66DL in 2022 and I couldnt be happier with it. 4 colleagues have used it and purchased one for themselves. The fact it has kewtechs original reliable attributes such as continuity accuracy and impedance consistency now with exceptional 2 lead loop tests and ev setting for RCDs was the definitive reasons made me happily hand over my cash for it...and I dont regret a single penny. In addition to the MFT I also bought a KT300DL to keep in the tool bag for fault finding and have most accessories. Kewtech are leaders for innovation when it comes to the adaptors, light mates, kewlok kit and many more. Great equipment all around and the most helpful customer services who are quick to reply and very accommodating

Fantastic equipment. My KT66DL could be run over by a bus and I’m pretty sure it’d still work accurately.

I recently made the switch to Kewtech from owning a Megger MFT. Having undertaken and passed my 2391-52 back in 2022, I then made my first MFT acquisition, which was a 2020 Megger 1741+. It was 3 years old at this point, and I bought it on the back of using a Megger on my 2391 course and on recommendation from my lecturer.
The Megger did what it said on the tin. It tested and that was all that was needed. But as time went on, my needs became more complex, and I began to notice it was becoming unreliable. It started with the leads. They're terrible! I was replacing them every 6–8 months and the readings became erratic. It then progressed to failing calibration on 3-LO and finally with an Err27 message on the test instrument.
In between all of this, I had already acquired some Kewtech accessories and equipment on the back of some Instagram posts. The light adaptors, the jumper cables and the PAT adaptor. Around Nov of 2025, I was already considering moving to Kewtech as reliability was becoming an issue with the Megger. I decided to buy Kewtech leads instead of Megger's, which are still used with my new MFT and are still very accurate.
The Kewtech accessories and equipment I already owned. I was quite happy with it, they did what they were meant to do.
Around the new year in 2026, I noticed Lawrence (Bristol Sparky) had moved across to the KT66DL and was making content on how accurate and reliable the Kewtech was.
So one Saturday evening in late January during a planned weekend shutdown of a mechanics garage for a rewire, the Megger threw up an Err27 message while testing the installed circuits. Megger upon enquiry, the following week, they wanted £400 to repair it.
It was gone for 6 weeks for repair with a different calibration company at the cost of £65. It also left me without an MFT to finish the garage and get it certified for insurance purposes. At the point of that outrageous quote, my relationship with Megger was over. The MFT had become a liability, as did my services as an electrician.
I had to borrow an MFT to complete the rewire of the garage, and in short, I felt like a mug and I felt like I'd let my customer down.
I subsequently purchased a KT66DL on the content that Lawrence had posted on Instagram and I haven't looked back. My confidence in assuring any works I undertake has been restored. The MFT goes above and beyond everything I need; the leads feel of considerably better quality, it tests SPDs, it does PAT, it even has a noise reading capability on Loop.
Megger absolutely shattered my confidence in testing & reliability and Kewtech have swept it up and rebuilt it. I absolutely hate letting customers down, and on this occasion my customer had to go and ask his insurance company for more time to complete the work.
OK, granted, I should've had a backup MFT for scenarios like such. I just didn't expect it to happen with a top line MFT like the 1741+ in such a short space of time. Based on other content from ALO Electrical & Security, my backup MFT will be the solid Kewtech KT63, when I eventually do purchase one.
In all, I'm delighted with the purchase. As much as I've tried to make this a positive review of my Kewtech MFT and less a moan about Megger, I've tried to give some background on what prompted the move and the surrounding experience, but that said, if you have been let down by your own MFT, make the swap.
You'll not regret it.
Also, credit where it's due, Kewtech are also very responsive and very active on social media and are always available to answer questions when required or to have a general chat with them.
Long may it continue!

Been using the kewtech smartpat for about 3 years for all my pat testing jobs. Never would have thought pat testing could get easier but this does it. Especially along side the Bluetooth label printer.
Recently bought the KT66DL MFT which I’m just getting used to but I can already tell it’s making testing so much easier compared to other brands of MFT’s I’ve used over the last 10 years.
10/10 brand with even better customer service
We use all their test equipment and it makes everything a breeze from fault finding to testing new installations. Can’t recommend enough
Used kewtech multifunction testers for the last 9 years! Very easy to use and upgraded to the kt66dl recently!
