Unfulfilled order wrong item received.

Ordered purple boots on 13/12/2020 not arrived after a long period so I contacted seller who said they could not find my order yet payment was taken on 15/12/202 so surely they could find that and trace my order.Same reply for further contacts with them.I involved Paypal who seem to be having problems and in the meantime a gaudy inferior pair of red boots arrived.Avoid Keeptor and Wormhole Fashions.

Beware of Keeptor

Like many other reviews about Keeptor, I ordered the purple boots and received red. They were also of poor quality, quite plasticty, if thats a word.
I have emailed them 3 times and still no response. Wish I had checked the reviews first.
Very disappointed with their customer service, no phone number either.

Scam

Boots were of shoddy manufacture made from very cheap materials. They were the wrong colour even though they were in a bag labelled purple. There were broken stitches as loose seams. Boots were not fit for purpose, not as advertised and damaged on delivery. I complained to PayPal after they insisted I paid for postage to china for a return. Uk legislation clearly states that any conditions for return costs are invalid in those circumstance and they become the responsibility of the seller. Complain and get your money back

Retro Boots and Keeptor Review

In Defense Of The Boots:

Not a fake company who take your money and run.

They answered my emails with concerns about them being a fake company.

The boots look good on.

The heel isn't too high for everyday wear.

Quality is on par with Shoe Zone.

£28.49 was reasonable for the product received.

I've received compliments from various people.

The red and blue are nice looking (not what I ordered).

Affordable Goth/Steam Punk style.

Generous lace length (195cm approx).

The sewing is well done.

True to size.

Reasonable shipping price for how far they travelled.

I waited about 21 days for delivery which I think is reasonable for the distance and the current trouble importing and exporting due to Coronavirus restrictions.

I wore them in the rain and still had dry feet at the end. So good waterproof protection.

It is not often you can find steam punk or Goth style boots at an affordable price which is why I bought them. Usually places in my local city have gothic style boots in the £80-£200 range. So, in comparison you know they aren't going to be leather or bespoke but you can still get that steam punk/Goth style for a more affordable price with these.

The Not So Positive Bit:

Padding in the sole could do with being a little more 'squidgy' or soft.

Not the quality that was seen in original photo but I expected that when they are coming from abroad and discounted so heavily when their website says they were originally £50+ I didn't believe it as a true price.

I didn't receive the colour I ordered. I ordered black and purple but received blue and red.

The blue were in the bag labelled black and the red were in the bag labelled purple.

Sewing is well done ... but materials are cheap feeling. However, once on they look and feel fine.

They smell like adhesive for an hour or two after opening the bag.

Had to lace them myself as the laces come in the bag with them and not already threaded.

They are obviously not the greatest material so not sure how they say they were once priced at £50 but now discounted to around £28.49. I think their original worth is about £28.49 like they were 'discounted' to. Also, for a comparison, I bought a £25 pair from Sainsbury's that fell apart after about six months so I am going to see how long these last in comparison.

If you cancel over 24 hours later from ordering from Keeptor they want 15% cancellation fee.

Sending back/returns would be a nightmare and you have to foot the whole cost of returns which is nearly the same price as the boots so if you are unhappy with them it is best to just sell them on eBay or FB marketplace. People who have tried to return have been told the return centre is in China and that they would have to foot the whole cost of return and custom charges.

Closing Notes:

I found somewhere on Amazon prime which has the same picture selling for cheaper (£22) on prime. Tried them but they are also not true to picture but are different to Keeptor. The Amazon prime heel is a bit higher so Keeptor seem comfier for everyday shopping/walking. I searched 'retro lace up boots' to get them. I ordered black on Amazon and got black which is more than Keeptor did.

My tracking history says that it went from sender to South West DC then to my local city and then to me.

It says, through tracking, that it was sent from sender on 7th of December and I received them on the 16th of December. However, I confirmed my order on the 26th of Nov. They originally put it on hold as I was going to cancel the order I had made but I confirmed I would keep it on the 26th as I didn't want to pay the 15% cancellation fee.

I'm about 5.5 and ordered 6 which are slightly loose on my feet but nothing a thicker sock wouldn't cure. I didn't want to order a smaller size as didn't want to have to pay to resend them back if they were too small. My mum is a 6 and they seem fine for her.

I waited from 26 Nov to 16th Dec which doesn't seem too long for how far they travelled and the current delays due to the pandemic. My wait wasn't very long considering the trouble with overseas shipping at the moment during the covid times and their email communication about my worry of them being a fake website and long delivery time was good. I think they make them to order which is the initial delay between my order date and the send by tracking.

I ordered before the 26th Nov but they held the order after I sent a message about my concerns wanting to cancel. On the 26th Nov I asked them to carry on, go ahead and send them which is why my order & deliver time is probably not the truest example. I probably would have received them earlier if I hadn't got the item held.

Overall, I get compliments for their style and they do look really good on even if they scare you when they are lace-less in the box. If you lace them and try them you might be surprised how comfy and good they look.

Oh dear

Oh dear. I was also scammed. Ordered purple and received red and yes they don’t look like the picture. I asked about returning and receiving the corext colour and I have to pay the postage. They offer a 15% refund we will see if we get it.

Avoid this company

Like many others here, I ordered the purple boots featured on the website. What arrived were a very different colour, red or burgundy, and not as good quality as the pictures looked. I should have checked here first, but it was something my other half said they wanted. Currently awaiting a response regarding a refund.

I notice the Facebook pages for Keeptor do not allow any comments, which is a bit of red flag, too.

I eventually accepted their offer of a 35% refund, which came through in a couple of days.

AVOID this company of thieves.

AVOID this company of thieves.
Took over a month for them deliver a different set of boots than what I ordered.
They will only issue a refund if I pay for them to be sent back to China.
Disgusting company.

If I could give no stars then I would…

If I could give no stars then I would as they are absolute rubbish boots.i ordered purple and got red ones, it was going to cost over £60 to send back to China and if I'd known that's where they were from I wouldn't have bought them, they offered me 10% discount to keep them and in the end i settled for a 30% discount and gave them to a charity shop. Total scammers and have other business with different names all appearing on Facebook.

Counterfeit goods - China based.

Brought a pair of boots and what I received was clearly counterfeit.
Requested they paid for return postage, however I was notified the return was in CHINA and I would need to pay return postage (which costed more than the boot) so accepted a 25% refund.

Please save your money and avoid.
