When I first used KCOM, circa 12 years ago, and became one of their first Lightstream customers- in my area - they were a good company to deal with. Service, pricing and reliability was excellent. Ho... See more

Outstanding
Outstanding!
KCOM upgraded some time ago, and again more recently. My latest speed test shows 750Mbps Download speed, and 165Mbps Upload, I think this is the best in the entire country and it is insanely fast.
Secondly, the reliability is second to none, I can count on one hand, how many times there have been outages in the last four years. This is a real achievement and shows how consistent a company can be, from older wiring in years gone by, to the latest fiber cables and a superb user experience.
KCOM is a jewel in the crown for the city of Hull, and those who made it happen should be proud of themselves.
Huge thumbs up. 👍
What's wrong with Kcom?
I decided to swap from BT to benefit from the full fiber system. OMG! We were without a phone for a week and couldn't get the engineer to come back, and the WiFi keeps disconnecting from all our devices one after another. we are on our second router with no change. I can be standing next to the router and it still disconnects and has to be reset. It dose this several times a day. So I decided to buy a better router a very expensive one by the way, but it needs permission from Kcom to connect to the internet. Because of Something called DHCP Failure.its something they have to fix at their end. I contacted the tech help and they refused to sort it. The system has been connected for less than two weeks and they just told me, if I go back to BT they will charge me for leaving because the 14 days to change your mind stars from the order date not the installation date!
My strong advice is do not have Kcom internet!
They have the rest of today to sort it out or its BT for me what ever the cost.
New customer got installation date and…
New customer got installation date and then they said could nit do it now no WIFI and I work from home worst company ever do not take broad band from them
