After my previous review, Katana Legends did not contact me via email or any other channel. After many email chains and follow-ups, without ever receiving shipping codes or formal documentation, I ultimately did receive my 9260 steel katana.
The packaging was extremely thorough. The sword arrived encased in Styrofoam wrapped in tape, with additional plastic wrapping around the hilt and scabbard. The blade itself was also wrapped before being sheathed. There is no wiggle anywhere, and handling it felt solid and secure. Out of professional courtesy to the artisan, I informed them that the blade is wickedly sharp.
The price was very fair, and once it shipped, the delivery itself was excellent. The primary issue was the length of time and lack of communication leading up to fulfillment.
If you are looking for a quality, class katana and are not in a rush — meaning you have nothing planned for the next two to three months — then Katana Legends may be a viable option. The craftsmanship is there; the timeline and communication need improvement.
