All areas we had to deal with were very efficient
The men measuring our room were very patient and helpful. I also found the on line tool that enabled me to visualise the different wood effects actually in the room very helpful.
Also ordering and receiving samples directly from Karndean worked well and I was pleased to see you are donating 50p to Shelter for all returned samples. Excellent idea.

Worth the trip
It was so hard to imagine our new flooring from small samples. Our fitter advised us to visit the Karndean showroom. We travelled from Bristol.
We are so glad we did. We were greeted and welcomed. Kiya introduced us to the layout and the area in which we would probably find what we were looking for.
There was so much choice. So much we could mix and match. We whittled it down to two choices. Kiya was so helpful in mixing and matching for us to show us what we could do. It was so helpful to see the tiles laid out in actual size.
Go and visit. It really is worth it.

I do not recommend Karndean flooring
I do not recommend Karndean flooring. In 2020, I had Karndean floating flooring installed on the entire main flooring of a new townhome. I upgraded from what was standard as I loved the look of Karndean flooring and was impressed by their promises. Well, was I in for a surprise and major disappointment. After one year, planks had separated in clusters in the dining area, by a staircase to the basement, in the hallway, and in the master bedroom. I called the flooring company. Their rep came out to inspect and repair the gaps.
Well, another year, later the the same thing occurred in the same 4 areas, different boards. This has gone on the 5 years now.
At year 3, the Karndean rep and the flooring rep came out to inspect and repair the floor again. A crew was sent out to raise baseboards that were too tight against the flooring. The following year, the exact same thing happened again. It is an annual occurrence.
In fall 2025, the flooring rep and the Karndean rep came again to repair the gaps in the floor boards. They both determined that it was time to make a claim to Karndean flooring to replace the floor.
I recently learned that that claim was denied due to tightness of some of the baseboards against the flooring and a bolt for the closet door in the entry going throughthe flooring into the subfloor. It just so happens, the bolt is nowhere near any of the boards that have annual gaps.
So ...do I recommend Karndean flooring? Definately not. I have a floor that continues to create gaps annually. And I am disappointed that a floor that I believed to be superior and which was considerably more expensive, performed so poorly.
I can't help but question the following. The flooring rep repaired floor gaps annually for 5 years and the Karndean rep visited on the third and fifth year. Both experts recommended that we make a claim to have the flooring replaced. The claim was denied.
Why would the Karndean company not believe the experts who agree that the gapping is not an installation problem, but a product problem. It makes no sense to me.

This was a return visit
This was a return visit, to return samples that we didn't want and to take some more. We were met by a very friendly helpful young lady, offered a cup of tea and were able to take further samples. Overall, the experience is very good.

Tile samples received
Tile samples received - I had ordered 6 but there were 2 sets of 2 duplicates - so not so many to choose from. We have ordered a set for our kitchen floor through a local shop.
