Great CS and Very Comfortable Shoes
I bought the Ikoni Trail 1.0 shoes earlier this year. They are very comfortable but after 5 months there was a hole at the front of one of the shoes after light wear and the soles are still almost new. I sent an email to their customer service not expecting much but Markus is so amazing. Markus offered to replace the shoes, he did it swiftly and very helpful. They were my first Karhu but I will definitely continue to buy their shoes. I measure customer service by what they do when things go wrong and I’m impressed.

Great! Bought from them on numerous occasions. The trainers are really good quality and look awesome. Often get comments about them. Quick delivery and good customer service too!
Missing package
Although I have still not received my replacement package due on (02/09/25/)the overall experience with Marcus (Karhu)has been one of amazement.
Between us we found the best way to go forward without awkwardness.
His professionalism and his proactiveness was something that all big or small companies should take heed off.I will touch base again when my package has arrived and add a further review.

I contacted customer services after an issued arised that was not the fault of the shoe or Karhu directly. Marcus was very understanding and considerate and offered a voucher to help me purchase a trainer more suitable.

I had a problem with my shoes
I had a problem with my shoes. So I contacted customer service. I received a quick response, but it's a shame I received a response in English while I sent an email in Dutch. However, the problem was quickly resolved and I received a new pair of shoes.

Emailed their customer service link they provide on their website prior to shipment of products to let them know there was a qty purchase mistake if they could adjust prior to shipment. No one responded in 48 business hours. Even if they couldn’t an email response from a human would have been so nice. I received the products. Not high quality. None of the shoes fit even following the guidance of the suggested purchase sizes. Went to follow the QR code on the packing slip and only ONE of the five shoes can be returned. I read the return section prior to purchasing and even the packing slip does not read the sale items are final sale. Highly disappointed in the customer service, the quality, and the overall experience. I’m stuck with so many shoes that don’t fit. I was hoping these shoes would relieve the third trimester joint pains.

poor customer service & bogus return process
i needed to return my (fully returnable) order from Karhu US. the link for returns provided on Karhu’s website did not work & only after several emails & trying to message customer service did i get a response almost a week later (they require you send your return within one week of receiving it) telling me that they had site issues & would try to address it soon with no timeline or other information. i printed my own shipping label & sent it back following the guidelines on their website, only to receive an email two days after the return window telling me they had fixed the link for returns… which i then checked & it was NOT true. i emailed them back letting them know the link for returns was still down & sent the tracking link for my return, which arrived to their warehouse 10 days ago. i have not received any communication back nor a refund for my return. the response time of 1-2 days they state on their website is not at all what i have experienced, & in the event i get any response at all, it is not accurate, knowledgeable, or helpful. order #US47886. i want a refund in full processed as per the return statement on your website.
Karhu Ikoni Trail Design Flaw
I placed my review on us.Karhu.com store, but it's been removed because I gave it 1 star due to a "design flaw" so I'm adding my review here. I purchased my first pair of Ikoni Trail 1.0 (Blue) on December 3, 2022 - size 11 - within few months the fabric started to separate from the thin rubber tape creating 0.25-, then 0.5-inch hole. I took a picture of it and sent it to Karhu' customer support - the response was "There is no problem with the shoe. It's something else". I tried to glue it back together but it didn't really work, so after 9 months of using it I had to dump it (the sole was still in like new condition). Purchased my second, exactly the same pair on September 11, 2023 - this time a half a size larger - 11.5. Again, after few months I noticed the same thing happening - new holes at the top of the shoe. This is so disappointing. I have owned at least 5 Karhu running shoes and never had a problem with those except with these two. I'm done with Karhu.
Avoid
Purchased a new pair of trainers via UK website via Klarna , karhu cancelled the order without providing a reason or notification of doing so. Will take my custom elsewhere

After 2 months shoe was teared and was replaced by new pair
After 2 months one of my shoes had a tear. After contacting support it was deemed a quality control error an i could choose a replacement pair.

The 35.5 I tried on in a store was not the same 35.5 I received when I ordered
I found a shop here in Rotterdam and I decide to give a try to the sneakers. I tried the size 35.5 in Fusion 2.0 but only dark colours were available and I wanted to try one with Beige/Green but when I receive them (parcel) I realized that the size 35.5 I ordered was too big :(
It was a different 35.5 that I tried here in NL, so I was forced to send the shoes back. The company at least was quick to refund me.
Amazing service, suprised at one star reviews
My experience with Karhu's customer service was amazing. I had an issue with my shoes due to a factory fault, I emailed karhu expecting to get an email back with a pre paid returns label etc at the most (I think a lot of us are used to terrible customer service experiences now).
But instead, lovely Markus was very prompt in his replies, lovely in his chat, and promptly had a new pair sent out which are now on the way. I can't say enough good things. I've been a fan of Karhu's shoes for years so this just tops it. Thank you karhu and thank you Markus!!
A pity Karhu use FedEx.
I rate this experience as less than perfect only because of a delivery problem caused by FedEx, something over which Karhu had no control. Luckily for me Paavo was available to sort things out.
I love the shoes which fit perfectly. Five stars next time - if FedEx can get their act together!
Fault rectified quickly and easily
My shoes arrived, and I liked them a lot. Unfortunately, they developed a small hole after a couple of uses. I emailed the support and Markus replied quickly and helpfully. He was apologetic and immediately acknowledged the issue. He sent me a new pair with no fuss. The shoes are brilliant, so I'm glad to have an easy resolution.
