I scheduled my first meet up in Kajabi…

I scheduled my first meet up in Kajabi with my valued clients and NOT ONE OF THEM COULD ACCESS THE MEET UP OR SIGN UP FOR MY COMMUNTIY. The Kijabi system kept telling them wrong password and their was no way to recover a password. Now why would I pay to put my valued client through this???

The BEST customer service in the game

The BEST customer service in the game! I've been with Kajabi for over a decade and they're the ONLY company I've ever dealt with whose CEO and team leads will personally jump on calls with you to see things right.

Every communication I've had with this company has been great and I've been made to feel seen and valued. :)

My website crashed on Kajabi and is still out

I've been a customer of Kajabi for many years, on and off. They do some things well, others less so. But in this case, it's a disaster. I built a website through Kajabi, using a template through their template store, taking me several months, and launched at the end of May; a website which now has crashed. It's been down for four days, they say they are working on it, that they've escalated the case, but it's just words until a solution is offered. How is this even possible? There are no back-ups accessible due to software glitches, and I have to keep reaching out to even get an update. The most likely alternative, from what I've understood, is that I will need to start over and redo the website. This shouldn't be possible with such a large company!

UPDATE. 8 days later, my old website is still crashed. There were no back-ups, and I've had to create a new website under enormous stress. Kajabi doesn't take responsibility and blames either the template creator, or me. They've ceased responding to me.

Kajabi Forever

I've been using Kajabi for almost 5 years and even though there's been competitors that have been cheaper -- I never leave. Kajabi has EVERYTHING all in one place for my business -- my website, my domain, my email list, my digital products, events I host, payments ... it's a one stop shop and SUPER easy to use.

I'm a tech noob and Kajabi makes things seamless for me -- plus the 24/7 customer service is unbeatable. I always get answers and support when I need them.

If you're thinking about Kajabi -- DO IT. Because the competitors don't have ALL the features and if you have to use several platforms to run your business -- it'll end up being more.

The all in one place makes it a walk in the park when you are a solopreneur. You won't regret it.

First Week with Kajabi Going Well

Just getting started with Kajabi but so far it's great. Did a one hour training with them. Got started building my courses and ran into a snag. The live chat started with a bot and as soon as I requested to speak to an agent I got a live person who was very helpful and we got the problem resolved. Working great so far!

Would like to talk to a human sometimes

I was switching my custom domain on Kajabi. This was a big move for us and we had hundreds of customers that would be effected. Fin, AI, is surprisingly smart and interactive. In my situation, it would have been helpful to chat with a human though. I was getting broad answers and not answers specific to my situation. I can still talk to humans at a lot of major companies like GoDaddy and Squarespace and, in my opinion, that is a downside. AI can be helpful but you have to know how to ask the more specific questions. I ended up making a mistake which cost me 24 hours of downtime for my customers to use my site.

Excellent customer care, common sense prevailed

I had forgotten I had signed up for a trial, I then bought a yearly subscription and was charged for two subscriptions when the trial (I’d forgotten about) finished. Toni and Rochen were excellent, clearly seeing it was a mistake (I’m one human, why would I need two yearly subscriptions?!) unfortunately, having the money taken twice left me grappling for loans at the end of a month to pay for food/petrol but glad to know it was coming back to me within a few weeks at least.

It’s a long review, but overall they told me:
- $400 or nothing (“nothing could be done”),
- OR $2,388 upfront for a “one-time accommodation.” (something could be done)

Full version:
A lot of people complain about customer support and billing now. It’s not the same Kajabi from years ago.

Customer service now doesn’t even seem like real people. Just copy-paste prompts while you get passed around in random queues, getting a new person almost each time.

I started on a promo trial where the trial was $99 for 3 months. After the first month (since my course is a 6-month course) I realized it was easier for me to finish recording + edit my video content instead of trying to build the course at the same time, so I started logging into Kajabi about once or twice a month. I wanted to keep the subscription active for January and switch to an annual plan in 2026. I’m still recording my courses.

A lot of people in the 1-star reviews complain about the promo. The promo goes to $400 per month if you don’t change it prior. I thought I had changed it, I did not. That’s on me. When I logged in to pay $179 I saw a $400 balance.

I thought it would be less. I flat out admitted it was an oversight on my part, and that was on me. I wanted to pay for the $179 plan and thought that’s what I would be billed for.

Others wanted to cancel; I wanted to pay them and keep the service.

I’m paying monthly to hold my first month’s work while I continue to record. I got far on the first month of the trial and don’t want to start over while I finish recording the 6 months of material. It’s a pricey parking lot fee, but I didn’t mind $200 or less. But $400 because it auto-switched seemed excessive.

I was told they can bill me for the $179 plan… after I pay $400. I told them to check and see I haven’t logged, they said that doesn’t matter, I should have switched before the trial ended.

I thought I did.
They told me there was nothing they could do. Fine. Rules are rules. My mistake. My loss.

But then they told me:

“As a one-time accommodation/compromise, if you’d like to upgrade now to an annual Growth or Pro plan (new plan levels), we’ll forgo all prior charges/invoices and only apply the annual rate for the plan you select.”

Which would have been $2,388.

That translated to me as: “this whole time Kajabi told me that there was nothing they could do, but if I pay $2,388 today they will delete the $400 charge that they told me they couldn’t do anything about?”

Felt like I was dealing with mafia or loan sharks.

That’s when I felt lied to. Because they could do something, but didn’t… but WOULD if I paid more.

I told them I didn’t mind switching to a growth plan, but an annual plan isn’t in the budget until 2026. I told them if they wanted to bill me monthly I could put it on a card that would never decline. How can I work with them?

They reverted back to: if I wasn’t paying $2,388 there was nothing they could do. The whole thing felt deceptive and wrong.

- I told them I don’t want to cancel my service.
- Told them I wanted to keep paying monthly until the course was finished recording and would then pay annually.
- I told them I would be willing to work with them.

The wild part is they kept asking me how they could work with me, and kept feinting as if they were trying to help… but everything I asked resulted in “there’s nothing we can do.” With their version of working with me turning to:

- $400 or nothing (“nothing could be done”),
- OR $2,388 upfront for a “one-time accommodation.” (something could be done)

They stuck with the notion there was nothing Kajabi could do… unless I paid them $2,388 and then and only then, they’d make a one-time accommodation or compromise.

A multi-million-dollar company shaking the pockets of their smaller customers.

One ticket went on for 10+ days. I dealt with Rochen, Raf, Gem, Abdeel, Riena, Marky, Kim.

I was just getting passed around by people with automated prompts and scripts, like dealing with robots not real people.

Other one-star reviews mention they have 0 empathy. While that seemed true to my experience, it’s not their job to care. They are in the business of making money.

Money is all that matters with Kajabi.

Look at all the others in the 1-star review section from this month alone.

I was not even trying to cancel like the others. I actually wanted to keep the service and tried to work with them.

Seems like client relationships are a thing of the past. A long-term client that pays annually and boasts about their service would have been better than a cancelled service, but I guess my account was too small to care about though I don't want to cancel or start over.

I think a company that pretends nothing can be done until you pay thousands more doesn’t deserve small creators’ trust. Proceed at your own risk.

Kajabi - Does not feel “friendly” to small business

I was so excited to be on Kajabi. I had heard so many great things about the platform itself. I’m sad to say I left feeling Kajabi is not friendly to small business. I’m sad to say that too but it is true. I will share a few areas:

1) Parking (pausing) Your Account- at the end when I was debating whether to go I downgraded my account (with a monthly fee) to essentially a pause. I was shocked to learn they do not let you access your client info, your assets, nothing. YOU ARE PAYING A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEE to pause, you are not live- but they fully lock you out from accessing any of your assets. That was shocking- and not right.

2) As I decided to migrate to another platform (Systeme io) I kept the pause subscription. A few months into it I see Kajabi charged my card 149$. I had not even accessed Kajabi for months. I reached out to discuss I was on the $29 pause plan (which I should have canceled) and they charged me $149 and I was not- not had been- accessing the platform in any way (and was fully hosted with another company for a fraction of the amount). They played games saying “oh.. e we can only reverse a charge in your first 30 days with us. Sorry! “ I kept pushing back and they would not refund me. I discord with my card company and have contacted a lawyer. I imagine there are countless people like me.

3) HIGH PRICE -Limit on products
So I was paying (when I was live) $149 and they limited me to 3 products. Please understand- a product is - a service or a good (or course) etc. so if you offer: 1) in person session 2) ONE course 3) zoom session you are 100% capped. You can not sell anything rose at the 149$ price. I ended up reinstating my THINKIFIC for courses because it’s unlimited.

4) CUSTOMER SERVICE(chat)
I am not making this up. Every single time I contacted customer service via CHAT it was horrible. They would not know simple things about the platform.. literally the most basic like “how do I hold this headline?”. They would say “let me get back to you by email. 2 out of 3 times you would never hear back. I was shocked,

Kajabi has a lot of good as a tool but it - to me- did not act “friendly” to small business. That is my honest review.

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service. Honestly worst I’ve ever come across after being a loyal customer for over 7 years. Each person I talked to wasn’t helpful and quite rude. Attempting to be nice in a fake way isn’t kindness at all. There was an egregious lack of clarity on Kajabi’s side and I asked for a remedy, and still no willingness to support a loyal customer.
