Terrible service, cold apartment, a rip-off

I lived in the K2A apartment in Karlstad for a year. I got ripped off, because they charged me for "brush-up cleaning", even though I cleaned thoroughly. The problem is that the company who does the cleaning inspection is a contractor and they don't do secondary inspections. They also don't want tenants to be present during the inspection. So, it's really easy for them to find some little faults and charge you for it.

And this is how the entire company runs. K2A's all services are contractors. So, if you have a problem with them, they can say - oh, it's not us, it's the cleaning company, or the garbage collector company, or the security company who handles keys, etc.

Also, they talk to you via e-mail, and it's impossible to find their phone number on the website. So, if you have a problem with your apartment or a question, it's impossible to get someone to talk to about it.

I chose this apartment, because of its location, but a year later I finally moved out, because I couldn't stand how cold the apartment was, and that the garbage was always overflowing, and I just got tired of living in a building that nobody seemed to be running or cared about. In the end I got ripped off, but I'm just happy that I finally moved out.

Geogrand is a very good apartment and…

Geogrand in Lulea, is a very good apartment and comes with ferniture. Its located within LTU campus, very close to ICA porson and busstop. Great location for connectivity and daily needs, specaially if you are new to cold weather. Its a bit costly but worth it if you are working in LTU and new to cold weather.

Terrible experience with K2A

Terrible experience with K2A. I strongly advise any student, especially international students, to avoid renting from them.
I rented a student apartment but had financial difficulties and kindly asked for a shorter notice period since I could no longer afford it. Instead of showing any understanding, Kevin Åslund refused to hear me out or help in any way. I didn’t even live in the apartment during the last months, yet at the final inspection Serkan Tuncay claimed the apartment wasn’t clean enough and then invented an issue with a broken freezer drawer even though I never even used it!
They charged me unfairly for these so-called “damages” and forced me to pay, despite explaining the situation multiple times. Kevin was consistently rude and unhelpful throughout the process completely incompetent. They clearly take advantage of immigrant students who may not know their rights.

Avoid renting from K2A at all costs

Avoid renting from K2A at all costs. K2A is the worst rental company. They are selfish, unhelpful, and extremely greedy. If you're a student moving to Gävle, do not sign a contract with them! Their website claims they want you to enjoy your stay, but what they really want is to take as much money from students as possible.

The apartment was freezing, and despite multiple reports, they never fixed it. I had to go get a separate heater just to get some warmth in the apartment. Gävle is cold for most of the school year, and with the high rent we pay, some heat would have been nice.

I've been with K2A since 2022, and while I knew I’d pay the same rent in the summer as during the school year, their recent increase of rent is INSANE. They suddenly raised the rent by nearly 2000 SEK without warning, because they just decided they weren't going to charge in the summer anymore. We were never told about this increase until the month it was due. They want a 3-month notice for when we move out, but they didn’t give us any notice before implementing this rent hike. It’s especially frustrating for graduating students who won’t even need the apartment after May and have been paying all school year and all summers. When I called them, they were unhelpful and didn’t care.

K2A is not student friendly at all.

Students seeking accommodation in Gävle may want to consider Gävle Studentbostäder. Friends of mine have had positive rental experiences with them and found it to be a more reliable option than K2A.

K2A: Enköping - Vitriskagatan

When my husband and I were urgently seeking an apartment due to a work relocation to Uppsala, K2A truly came to our rescue.

From the very beginning, the experience with K2A has been nothing short of exceptional.

Markus was our initial point of contact, and he immediately impressed us with his professionalism and attentiveness. He went above and beyond to present us with a variety of options that perfectly met our needs. His flexibility and quick response times were invaluable during a period that could have otherwise been stressful. Markus was not only efficient but also demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills, ensuring that we found the perfect solution in a remarkably short period of time. He was an absolute star throughout the process!

In addition to Markus, we had the pleasure of working with Viktor whenever Markus was unavailable. Viktor was equally attentive and made certain that our transition to the new apartment was as smooth and seamless as possible. His friendly demeanour and proactive support left us confident that we were in great hands.

After living in the complex for two months, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose K2A specifically their complex located in Vitriskagatan, Enköping. The complex is nestled in a beautiful natural setting, providing us with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. We frequently take walks, exercise, and breathe in the fresh air in the peaceful surroundings – it’s truly a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The convenience of the location is another highlight. The nearest bus stop is just a stone's throw away and Enköping Central Station is easily accessible, offering excellent connections to surrounding cities via both trains and buses. Shopping for essentials is a breeze, with supermarkets conveniently located in the city centre, which is easily reachable by the frequent bus lines running through the central bus stop.

As for the apartment itself, we couldn’t be more pleased. It is incredibly spacious, thoughtfully designed with modern aesthetics, and has been very well maintained. It feels like home in every sense of the word.

We absolutely love it here and can’t recommend K2A Vitriskagatan, Enköping enough for anyone seeking a comfortable, convenient, and beautifully situated living space in Enköping!
