Just Answer IS A SCAM!!!!

I was looking for a simple yes or no answer to a legal question from Just Answer, and the site said that for an answer it would cost $5 off my debit card. Well, it was $48 they took, NOT $5. I called them to straighten it out and they said they couldn't refund the $$ because Just Answer is a MEMBERSHIP type account. The worst of it was that it never explained that on it's site, or about charging me extra, it's just an automatic fee they decide to take out of my account (out of my FOOD allowance, by the way, and I don't know about anybody else but I like to eat----guess it's Raman and food banks for the rest of this month---not that anyone should care). If you need a legal question answered I suggest people just going straight to a REAL attorney and they are more than happy to answer a few simple questions at NO COST. I wish I'd done that now, as I am not rich, and whenever you seek any kind of help online they attach whatever fees they can get away with. $48 may not seem much to most, but Just Answer still kept the $$ even though I cancelled their "membership"! Unbelievable!!

I'm keeping my review as it stands because I tried to reply and contact directly to ********** and that was a waste of my time. First of all, I DO NOT LIVE IN FRANCE. Second of all, you, Just Answer, make it impossible for someone to so-called reply to YOUR reply. Anyway, I wanted to add something to my original review: if you weren't out to scam people, then why don't you state you prices and explain this "membership" right up front, instead you have it semi-hidden in your "terms and conditions" along with the usual terms and conditions when people make purchases online. Most of your bad reviews are based on lack of clear understanding of your "membership" and the multitude of various monthly charges you instill. Your scam is, and you KNOW it is, that you prey on the people who think they only have to pay $5 for a question to be answered, which IS clearly stated in your ADVERTISEMENT, but NOWHERE is it clearly stated in your advertising about the additional MONTHLY charges. The way you GET AWAY with your scam is that once someone is sucked in and gives you their credit card number, THEN they suddenly find an additional $43 had been charged, you get away with keeping the money because it's stated in tiny words under terms and conditions. I have read numerous reviews with the same issue, then you argue with stating that it DOES state the prices and there you go: NO REFUNDS. IT'S A LEGAL SCAM. My last question is: if you guys are SO LEGIT, then why don't you make it CLEARER to the public of your charges?? Or, are you worried that you might lose A LOT OF REVENUE that you now acquire.....I can guarantee you will have fewer 1-star ratings and the millions of complaints on this ONE issue will stop. But it's the MONEY that counts, right? I can't stand people and businesses that advertise they're out to help people----that's a joke!
