I enjoyed living with June homes. There were some logistic issues I would have liked to see changed like being able to interact with room mates before you got there without sharing private information... See more

I rented with June Homes for a short-term, furnished lease during my last semester of school, and the experience was great. The process was smooth from start to finish; everything was exactly as listed, the space was clean and comfortable, and move-in was simple. Whenever I had a question, communication was quick and helpful. It was the perfect setup for a busy final semester, and I appreciated how stress-free everything was. I’d definitely recommend June Homes to anyone looking for flexible, reliable housing.

I had an overall positive experience during my stay with June Homes. The apartment matched the photos and description quite well. The location was excellent—both Central Park and Morningside Park are within walking distance, and the subway station is very close, which makes commuting easy. There are also great supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants nearby, so daily life is very convenient.
The monthly cleaning service was a nice benefit, although the quality varied depending on the cleaning staff.
There were a few drawbacks. When I moved in, one of the curtain rods was broken, which ideally should have been fixed during the inspection after the previous tenant moved out. Additionally, the apartment is close to a main road, so the noise level can be quite high.
Overall, it was a good stay with a lot of conveniences due to the excellent location.

Worst experience, started day one when I walked into my room and the previous tenant was still there in bed due to miscommunication from June.
They also advertised the apartment as 4 bedroom 2 bath then a month in rented the advertised office space to a 5th person without any warning.
It has been a nightmare, do yourself a favor and stay away from June Homes.

I moved in and the room is not at all as described. It was filthy and covered in dust. The walls and floors were scratched. There is an obvious pest problem with bugs and mice traps in the kitchen.

I had previously written her with review that was positive, but that was only because they were paying me to do it. After having been with June Homes for over three years, I have a lot more to report. The fees, in addition to the rent are very exorbitant. If you have good credit, you can find a cheaper apartment someplace else. They were very slow about giving any repairs and they also make you pay for the repairs. Also, if someone else wants your room, even if you have just moved in after a month, they will expect you to sign another agreement and come up with another security deposit and another Guarantor fee if they make you have that. They’re also very slow about doing things for the apartment. For example, the drain in the shower was clogged and they made me pay $75 for them to unclog it when it was clogged whenever I moved in. Also, I had things stolen from the apartments and complained about it and they didn’t do anything to help. So I paid for someone to put a deadbolt on the door because it was obvious that someone had gotten the code to the apartment. They did not change the code and after I paid a lot of money to get the lock in place they made me pay them $150 to take the deadbolt off. They will nickel and dime you for every single fee you can possibly think of . The good thing is, I didn’t have to go through a broker until with all of that stress but in the long run, I think it is much better to get a Broker especially if you want to stay in New York City for longer than a short term lease.

The June Homes unit into which I moved in Brooklyn, NY was filthy. It had clearly been years since it had had a deep cleaning. It was infested with fruit flies, thanks to a flatmate who lacks the most basic cleanliness. There had been a leak that had gone unfixed for over a month before I moved in, badly warping the wooden floors.
Since I've moved into a June Homes unit, I've dealt with sewer gas in my room; extremely unreliable internet; dishonest accounting; a cleaning lady hired by June Homes stealing my debit card information and using it to pay a $1000 utilities bill, with June Homes continuing to send her back despite my protestations... The list goes on. About a month ago, another leak sprang. Junes Homes told us we had to move out of the apartment for repairs and offered us scant compensation. They then kept us waiting for a month on the matter of moving while they tried to find a cheaper solution, offering us no updates. The Monday before last, I received an email from Junes that said that we would have to move out the very next day to a hotel for repairs to take place. One day's notice! I told them no, and they moved back the date. We still have to move to a hotel for three days for a repair. They're offering to comp us a whole $600 and refusing to pay for hotel, transportation, or food expenses upfront.
By the way, we had also agreed that I wouldn't pay utilities for the apartment. They broke this promise. On my first bill, they included internet. On my second bill, they've included all the utilities. This has jacked the monthly payment up from the agreed upon $1550 to $1850. These people are scumbags, and they do not care about their tenants in the least.

You may want to check out June Homes for a fantastic D.C. based life's experience. Are you coming to stay in D.C. as a student, contractor, intern at the Capitol, deciding to relocate or simply a D.C., Maryland and Virginia inhabitant making that decision to stay in D.C.? Look no further than the June Homes. Their housing inventory is matchless. I know so because I have lived in two of their properties and all of them are ideal for a metropolitan D.C. resident. It feels like a deja vu. It feels like "why didn't I find out about June Homes earlier?" All properties are near the transport hubs, D.C. city life, and in my case the Saturday Farmers' Markets. Oh!!!! You can never be disappointed with June Homes.
