Dishonest checkout experience
They did not disclose the taxes until AFTER I had already hit checkout. The normal protocol would be to display the total before checking out. The cost of the duties ended up being 50% the cost of the item, which I only found after I had already submitted the order.

For shipments to the United States, duties and taxes are calculated and clearly displayed during the checkout process, once the shipping address is entered. This step is required because import duties and sales taxes vary by state and cannot be calculated without a destination address.
In addition, this process is clearly explained in our shipping and duties policy and the full order total, including shipping, duties, and taxes, is shown in the shopping cart before the order is placed and must be accepted by the customer in order to proceed with payment.
We understand that import charges can be significant, especially for customers ordering internationally for the first time. For this reason, we always recommend carefully reviewing both the cart summary and our policies before completing a purchase, particularly when shopping on a new website.

Julian Fashion Return Policy ripping off money from customers by taking the customs tariffs fee paid by the customer which is refunded from the U.S customs back to the seller upon returning the merchandise. This is unfair practice for a large store like Julian Fashion.
I had been a loyal customer from the U.S for many years, but I’ll never buy from them again.
All other stores and companies like Farfetch refund back to customers the full amount, some stores only deduct the shipping charge.

For orders shipped to the United States, duties and taxes are handled by our logistics partner eshopWorld, which acts as the merchant of record for customs purposes. These charges are paid directly to the relevant authorities and are not refunded to Julian Fashion in the event of a return.
For this reason, duties and taxes are clearly stated as non-refundable in both our Shipping Policy and Return Policy, which are available on our website and must be accepted before completing a purchase.

Ha, the scammers took nearly 400 pounds for a return from a 1800 Ysl bag. Item came with defects on the strap. Returned it, they lied and said nothing is on the item. Thank God I took pictures for evidence, raised a dispute and got my money back from my bank. Thieves these people are thieves! Got my bag from farfetch instead - beautiful. AVOID COMPANY IMMEDIATELY.

The item was inspected upon return and found to be in the same condition in which it was shipped, with no defects present. The refund was processed in full compliance with our clearly stated return and shipping policies, which are accepted at checkout. The amount retained relates exclusively to non-refundable duties, taxes, and return shipping costs, as clearly outlined in our policies.
