Shocking workmanship by JRS Roofing Aberdeen
JRS Roofing Aberdeen was contracted to seal a box gutter with a rubber coating to stop water leaks entering a flat, and to re-point gaps in the concrete pointing, at a cost of £2,600.
The company carried out an initial free drone survey and advised that these works would resolve the issues identified.
Unfortunately, the work was completed in only a couple of hours, and the quality was extremely poor. We contacted the company immediately to raise our concerns, but the owner insisted the work had been carried out correctly and refused to inspect it further. This was despite the fact that he was on holiday when the work was undertaken and therefore did not supervise the job himself.
The box gutter remains unsealed, and water continues to enter the property. In fact, the leaking appears to be worse than before the work was carried out.
We have photographic evidence clearly showing the standard of workmanship and intend to report the matter to Trading Standards.
It is deeply disappointing to pay a significant sum for work that has failed to address the problem and to receive no meaningful response when concerns are raised. Based on our experience, stay away from this kind of company.
