David was an amazing guide from the start. He’s extremely knowledgeable and a very experienced driver. He made sure we saw all of Big Five multiple times and had great views even in crowded situations! Kenya was a dream in so many ways, and David was a big part of what made it so amazing. There were many times at the end of the day when hotel staff or other travelers would say that we were “very lucky” to see many of the animals that we did. I don’t think it was luck! David spent much of his time radioing other guides, and he often stopped to speak with other guides and rangers to find out what was out to see. Book with David and Journey Mark Tours if you want a guide who cares about your experience and if you want to support local Kenyan business! I will book again when I return!

Wow wow wow! We had nothing but a 5⭐️ experience!! Every hotel was exceptional. Especially the Matira in Masa Mara. David, our driver and guide, was perfection!! He knew where to find all the animals and all the excitement. We saw the Big 5 and WAY WAY more. Our group of six could not stop talking about the excellent lodges, food, and guide we had. We felt so special. If you are looking for a company to use for a safari, you will not be disappointed— you will be thrilled. Absolutely the best experience we have ever had. We already want to come back.

David and his team are incredible. I cannot recommend enough that everyone book a safari, specifically with Journeymark.

Journeymark’s website banners a quote from Hemingway: “If I have ever seen magic, it was in Africa.” We felt that magic at every moment of every day, due strongly in part to David’s expertise, warmth, humor, and genuine good nature. If I could give this company 100 stars, I would. We can’t wait to come back!

Based on my experience, I strongly advise against this company. I was scammed and lost $2150 USD. This company, run by David Wangari, gave me a false payment address in Nigeria. After I transferred the money, they claimed they never received it. Their account on SafariBookings is now suspended due to this complaint, and they cannot operate on that site. Also be aware of the fake website with false information under their name which claims 689 reviews, when they actually have fewer than 25 real ones.
They may state all is fine under this review, but you can verify on SafariBookings that their account is suspended and marked with warnings.
I lost not only the money but also time, trust and long-term travel plans.

You keep denying responsibility, yet your SafariBookings account has been flagged with a warning and suspended. If there was truly “no evidence” and everything was legitimate, that would not have happened. Customers can judge for themselves based on the platform’s actions, not just your statements.

We loved our Safari Tour with David and had the best experience we could have. We did a Tour through Masai Mara NP starting in Nairobi with one overnight in the park. David explained so much, even our long drive to the park was so interesting. He never got tired of answering our questions and he has so much knowledge about the park, the animals and everything around. He's a very good driver too, we felt very safe. He brought us to perfect spots so we could get the best experience for short time.
We had an amazing time with David, always funny too - definitely worth booking a tour with this guide!

Our safari adventure in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru was nothing short of phenomenal! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, and a lot of credit goes to our incredible guide. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience, tirelessly tracking animals and sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife and ecosystem.

Thanks to their expertise, we were fortunate to spot the legendary Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—along with countless other animals, including cheetahs, giraffes, and vibrant flocks of flamingos at Lake Nakuru.

The landscapes were breathtaking, from Masai Mara’s golden savannahs teeming with life to Lake Nakuru’s serene waters surrounded by lush greenery. Each moment felt like stepping into a wildlife documentary.

I would absolutely recommend this safari to anyone dreaming of an unforgettable wildlife expedition. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a bucket-list experience, this is one adventure you’ll cherish forever!

David was an excellent guide to the National Park in Nairobi. He set a good pace, moved quickly when needed to get to a good sighting, and was in constant communication with other guides to get us the best opportunities. Would happily go on another tour with him!

David was phenomenal! He took us through Nairobi, including the national park, and knew so much about everything—he answered all of our questions and had so many stories to tell.
