Five stars for Jordons garage Godalming

I have had my MOT carried out by Jordans garage while I waited. The service was excellent, efficient, friendly and great value for money. I can say with all honesty that I will be returning there next year or before should I need any unforseen repairs carried out.
I have worked in the motor trade for fourty years from workshop to management and feel I am more than qualified to make an assessment. Thanks Jordons.
Oh! Just quickly, if your brakes are failing, the best thing to do is replace all components and I would have advised having both callipers renewed, better to be able to stop than not!

The garage experience we all dread - 'the con job!'

My MOT failed due to a suspected seized brake calliper. The garage manager (Dan) advised that once the wheel was removed he expected to see evidence of overheating of the disk due to metal on metal contact. I went home and was later contacted with a price for the repair work which included the calliper and replacement disks and brakes on both sides implying there was extensive work needed. I agreed to the work but when I returned to collect the car I asked to see the old disks and queried why they been replaced as there was no sign of any damage and they were only lightly worn. The manager said that if I wasn't happy with the work I should go elsewhere. I took the old disks and pads to another local garage who confirmed they were fine and would not have failed an MOT but the pads probably needed replacing due to the uneven wear, albeit not worn down to the metal. I raised my concerns with the garage and was later contacted by the Managing Director (Ian) who offered to provide me with a refund if I was happy for the old disks to be reinstalled so he could return the new ones to the supplier!
