Booked a workshop and was blocked

I booked a workshop on jonniii.com in June 2025. I had followed him for almost ten years and always found his photographic work inspiring, which makes it even more disappointing to see that he is now deliberately scamming and stealing from people online, while posting his faked influencer lifestyle on Instagram, funded by the money he has taken from others.

He repeatedly pushed me to book - at first insisting I pay the full amount (nearly $5,500). I said I couldn’t invest that large a sum so far in advance, but he kept pressuring me, claiming the January 2026 retreat was almost sold out and that he could only hold a spot if I paid immediately. He then said he would “make an exception” and urged me to find something I could spare for a deposit. Feeling pressured, I paid a deposit of $1,600.

I cancelled the booking by email in the first days of September 2025, within the cancellation period. According to his terms I was entitled to a full refund. He never responded to my cancellation or refund requests. Multiple follow-up emails and Instagram messages went unanswered; he blocked and restricted my comments on Instagram while continuing to post and promote his offers, while 2 months later I am still without any response.

Because no service was provided and he refused to cooperate, I filed a first fraud report through my bank and the amount was refunded. Afterwards he charged the same amount to my card again without any new booking or my authorization, using the payment details I had previously entered on his webshop. This is again fraudulent and additionally to that it is illegal as this is theft and abuse of personal data! Besides filing a second fraud report at my bank, I have also filed a police report immediately this time.

I warn everyone: do not buy anything from this person!

WARNING! Untrustable!!!

WARNING! SCAM!

I bought the jonni retreat master class.

He deleted all his Instagram profiles.

I paid 2 940 €

Ive followed the companies terms to write and email him about the refund at least 6 weeks before the retreat and I wrote to him 2 months before and the answers I get from him is... My assistant will give you information 3-4 weeks from now... On the 4th week I texted him and the answers are, I'm traveling I'll get back to you tomorrow... Had to write to him 2 days later because he didn't reply, Got a similar answer, Ive seen your e-mail and will get back to you. Haven't got an answer in a week by e-mail...

Now I have to contact European lawyers to help me with the refund, Wise bank cant help me they say even if banks are eligible by law to cancel transfers 120 days later.

I don't trust this company, and you shouldn't to.

Don't buy anything here - Scammer!

Don't buy anything here - except you want to get scammed.
Jon Watzlawick moved his store from Joniii.com

Here is my personal experience buying from him:

I ordered the photobook "simplicite" and never got the book. He doesn't answer on pm's nor emails. After commenting under his youtube video he has hidden the comments.
Luckily I got the money back from the bank.
Don't waist your money and time, he doesn't appreciate any supporter.

Big scam moved from jonniii.com to here

Please be aware that this guy is a scam. He now moved his website from jonniii.com to this website jonniwestside.com - Please read the jonniii.com reviews and you will know enough.

I will repeat my review here:
I have ordered the book "Simplicité" and never received it. There is no response to emails from the website or a DM to the photographer. And comments you write about it are hidden by them. I'm afraid this is a big scam. Please do not order anything here!
