Shut down with NO warning

I had all my personal info saved and shared with my kids. At no time did they warn me that they had been bought by some random funeral conglomerate and now everything is apparently GONE! At least I hope it is gone and not floating around somewhere that I can't access it but hackers can.

Inaccurate Information

As someone in the memorial headstone business, I'm incredibly frustrated by the misleading and inaccurate information regarding prices for memorial stones. They mostly link to Amazon which has sellers that sell cheap stones they get in bulk from China. Their links about the "average" prices of Marble headstones, link to amazon where what comes up are small, thin, marble or marble style pet memorials, and other things that are not marble headstone. One has a link saying that this company sells marble headstones and other headstones. The link is to a memorial urn and keepsake company. They only marble they have are small marble urns. When you contact them to say that their information is wrong, they say "thanks, we will forward this info" but nothing changes and nothing is done. It's frustrating that when people google headstone prices it's one of the first things that comes up.

Hi Beth,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate your feedback. We acknowledge that you're in the memorial headstone business, and we understand that there are several online resources for families to research their options. It wasn't our intention to be misleading. We wanted our readers to know that they have many options, Amazon being one of them. Each family has their own budget restrictions, so we provide options at all price ranges—regardless of where they're produced—to make sure everyone has access to a meaningful sendoff. We recognize this isn't the right fit for all of our readers, and encourage all to work with a trusted funeral director locally.

We did update the article and we invite you to take a look: https://www.joincake.com/blog/how-much-should-headstone-cost/. If you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to email us at support@joincake.com.

Best,
