Scam
Scam! They got investigated by trading standards this year and promised a 'no quibble refund'.... The link to that page ALREADY does not work any longer. They took £70 out my bank randomly 3 months after I had a free trial!!!!!
Wish I could leave 0 stars for Scam Academy
Wish I could leave 0 stars. Stay away from this 'Academy'. I was conned into taking a 1 year membership this time last year and have been trying to get Diplomas sent to me for completed courses since January 2021. No joy at all. I sent Shaw Academy a lot of emails to request them and have got every excuse in the book back from the liars:- ranging from technical issues to telling me I didnt finish final module exams - I have proof of every module I spent a lot of time on, completed and passed but still am getting no where.
When I signed up in May 2020, Shaw advertised their courses were EQF level 5 certified - I recently got a reply email from their support team telling me this accrediation stopped in 2019 so their 'accrediated' courses have been miss sold to me for sure. They should be called Scam Academy!!!
I have emailed them again asking that they cancel my membership, refund my money and delete my personal and financial information as per GDPR regulations. After emails coming back to me asking me to retake exams and me refusing they are now spamming my email account with a load of rubbish saying that staff are not available due to COVID-19. I get one email from them stating this every hour and have been for two days now. I will be continuing the fight with them on this though and hopefully will get a refund for a miss sold 1 year membership.
LIARS! THIEVES! SCAMMERS!
Never ever waste your time on this fraud company or whatever Shaw Academy is. They stole my money from my account without informing me. I joined using their free trial, and then I paused my membership because I found out that I had to actually pay for the program but I didn't want to waste my money on it. Unfortunately they still stole my money... Selfish people...one day you will feel the pain we are going through right now 😏
Scam!
Scam!
They cannot cancel my subscription telling me to go to website then the website will tell you to call then when you call it will lead to circling conversation. I have to close my bank account just for this. Shame!
A horrible nightmare is about to start
A horrible nightmare is about to start. Just found about all the reviews right after I signed up for the free trial. Reviews are absolutely right and there is no way of cancelling the subscription with few buttons. It tells you to call a number. Now I have no choice but to block my card and get new one. Wonder how they are still alive!
Scammers to the tune of £200

Closed out bank account to prevent more theft. The money stolen will hurt my Granddaughter birthday this week. So they stoled from a child. A free look is free. They even have software to make small charges first to check your bank account. 50 cents e times. Owed money stolen from account. They are crooks. Pop-ups flyby and obviously closing them charges. I want my refund of 39.99. Stolen by click bait. Free? Lies. Stolen and with COVID already hurting pay now I have money Stolen at a time I need it. Their tricks have now hurt an innocent child who will not be getting the Gift I had saved money from 2 paychecks to buy. Every dollar makes a difference which is why a free look and class sounded good. Who steals money with clicking around info and this time hurting a child. Reporting to FTC Amazon PayPal Facebook. Shameful to steal money when people click to get info. No warning to review cost. Stolen money I was using for my Granddaughter. Awful humans.

DO NOT SIGN UP 0 STARS IF I COULD
Signed up for FREE 4wk trial Mar 7th and received a call from my "counsellor" the DAYAFTER (March 8th) which I thought was confirming my enrolment to the 4wk free trial. Unfortunately, to my unaware self, this was a scam call to get me to say yes to a PREMIUM 3mth subscription of $139.95 charged to my card that day. I took the first class of the course online on Mar 15th and realized it was not for me, cancelled online the next day on March 16, well within the free trial period of 4wks. Multiple phone calls later asking me why I cancelled, I get a call March 25th asking me again why and that they had charged me the premium membership on March 8th. This then prompted me to check my credit card statement to see INDEED, they DID charge me. Which I then reached out via email to try to get a refund (on a FREE TRIAL), to be gaslighted through phone calls, to finally offer me a free 2 yr access. They then threatened me with call recordings and penalties if I go thru my bank credit card.
MAKE SURE TO TELL THEM TO TERMINATE…
MAKE SURE TO TELL THEM TO TERMINATE YOUR ACCOUNT. After being charged once, I have cancelled my subscription, however, I was then scammed and they told me that I had reactivated my account, which I never have, then charged me 69.99. Not only you can't do it yourself, they will keep your payment details unless you tell them to terminate your account.
STAY AWAY FROM SHAW
I do not recommend signing up with SHAW. They keep taking money from my account even though I’ve tried to cancel so many times. And I see a lot of others have had the same experience! There is currently a petition running to investigate the company for fraud. They have charged me R1200 even AFTER being told my membership was cancelled and no more money would be taken. After asking for a refund and providing proof that someone had confirmed my cancellation, they told me I had another email address registered - an email address that doesn’t exist - and that I’d continue to be charged for that one.
RUN FROM THEM
If you have subscribed change your card and ewerything you can! Nothing is for free in this scammer company - you will be charged even for courses that does not exist. And even after you have cancelled your ubscribtion they will reactivate it an keep charging you even if you don't use this site and aplication!
RUN FROM THEM!
Unlawful and disgraceful company
Unlawful and disgraceful company
Unlawful and disgraceful company. I truly think everyone at Shaw Academy belongs in jail, as it’s absolutely shocking what they are doing. Refusing refunds despite them having a “no quibble” refund policy as well as ignoring emails has pretty much summed up my experience with them.

Free Trial os not free trial.
Free Trial os not free trial.
I subscribed to the shaw academy through an instagram commercial. But i quickly found out that its not a free trail.
As soon as you login, they will make you click on a certificate which cost approx, 35-45 GBP.
These will be charged to your account immediately.
First of all why do you sell a certificate before anyone has enrolled in a class.
The idea is simple and obvious, they will make you enroll with a free trial, but then sell you certificates and other inputs immediately just to get some money out from you.
I've now tried to get my money back.
I can prove that i never downloaded the certificate, pressed purhcase, or approved any transaction.
I noticed that €44.99 is taken from my bank account
I started free trial 4-week account few days ago and I decided to cancel it today. I tried to cancel my membership, and I noticed that €44.99 is taken from my bank account. I sent an email for a refund. I am going to write again if I get an answer.
They are fraud and total scammers
They are fraud and total scammers. They took my money way before my free trial period could have ended. They are not refunding it now which is totally against their own policy. Their course content is not that great which couldn’t be found on YouTube and other academic sites. If someone really wants to study then I would suggest to join Coursera instead. I made a huge mistake for thinking them to be professional but instead they are a group of vultures who just want to snatch money from people.
Reactivated Account without permission!
This company is a scam. Cancelation is impossible.
You can call and try to cancel, but they lie about your account being closed/deleted/canceled.
Don't start. Save yourself the headache.
There *IS* no "FREE TRIAL"
April 2020: It was the middle of global quarantine...I was bored. I thought, "Why not? I will trial a class for 30 days..."
May 2020: Called to cancel, as instructed by the website. They begged me not to go...offered me 30 more days. I caved. I'm a sucker.
Two weeks later (June 1): I knew I wasn't going to log back in...things were picking up and we were able to go outside without danger of COVID jumping on us from a passer-by. Called again, resisted the automated begging this time. I figured this was over.
I WAS SO WRONG.
Two weeks later, I was charged $69.99.
I emailed and asked why I was charged when I clearly canceled. They "can't refund a charge" but will give me a free 6 months as a parting gift. I have an email confirming my cancellation.
Fast forward to last week (March 2021): I log in to PayPal and see that I have 3 charges of $69.99 from Shaw?!? Dec, Jan, Feb. I am currently in the process of disputing the fraudulent charges with PayPal.
I have contacted Shaw directly via email, so I have proof of our interaction. They tell me they need to call me to discuss. After 4 attempts of me giving them an hour window to call (including time zone) and them totally disregarding that window, I connected with Marcas. Marcas told me that no refund could be given, and stated that my account had been magically re-activated on [this] date in [this] town from [this] phone. Funny thing is, I wasn't even in [THIS] town on [THIS] date to activate it from [THIS] phone. So it must have been magical fairies who stole my phone from my pocket and reactivated my account and signed me up for a 4 week recurring transaction.
Or FRAUD.
My bet is on the latter.
