Returned from a 15 night Egyptian holiday with 2 other ladies. We are all older and appreciate our privacy. We each had our own hotel rooms in the Bellagio Hotel in Hurghada which were large spacious rooms. We also had our own cabins on the ship for our Nile cruise and also in our hotel in Cairo. We had no worries regarding transfers to and from each accommodation, or airport, as these were all included in the very reasonable price of the holiday. As it was the first holiday I had ventured on since losing my husband last year, I was a bit worried about the experience. I needn’t have worried as we were very well looked after. The whole experience from booking the holiday was seamless as Johnson’s took care of all the travel arrangements including doing our online flight check ins and visas. Would highly recommend this company, whom I had never heard of before, but will definitely use them in future.

Firstly on our arrival in hurgada was met by the rep who informed us our cruise day had changed which wasn’t a problem as it just meant 2 nights back at the hotel instead of 1 On arrival at the hotel it was adequate but certainly not 5 star Half way through the week I received a. Email stating we had been upgraded to a different boat , they must have known about this previous as the rep did. Again not a problem as the boat the magic 2 was very nice. But as only 2 of our party of 4 had taken out the all inclusive drinks package at a cost of £219 each which we felt pressured into buying before hand. On arrival we was asked if we wanted to take the drinks package out at a cost of £106 each which of course our other 2 party did, I contacted Johnson holidays on return as I felt we had been massively overcharged on our drinks package having paid £226 more I have given them 2 weeks to respond but as yet heard nothing so be warned don’t be pressured into buying before your Nile cruise

Firstly we had a lovely holiday. We did 7 night Nile Cruise and 7 nights All inclusive hotel.
What went well - Airport meet and all transfers, the boat was nice, we enjoyed our excersions with our guide Ahmed, who's knowledge was vast and interesting, his command of English was excellent. He was friendly and polite and made us feel comfortable.. He also did what he could for over half our group when the rooms weren't correct.
I was contacted prior to our departure by someone who ran through the basic itinary.
The price we paid was reasonable and our stay at the Bellagio was good.
What didnt go so well - We were not informed our cruise had been changed to a day earlier and a different boat prior to our departure. We found out when we got to the airport in Hurgarda. This resulted in me having to cancel an exersion I had booked in Hurgarda. The cruise was good nd we really enjoyed it, however communication about this change should have been better.
When we got back to the hotel after our cruise, we were then staying 4 nights (not the origional 3 nights as the cruise had started 1 day early) The extra night had not been booked for us, while Johnsons holidays were instantly contactable, it took about an hour to get a room booked, which i had to book and pay for myself (no other option if we wanted a room for the night) this was obviously stressful and upsetting. We did get the money back into our account from Johnsons within 24 hours, but it just added stress to a holiday which shouldn't happen.
Despite this the good outweighed the bad and we did have a great holiday. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would I book with Johnsons holidays again? Quite likely!

They explained things clearly and reassured me about the things that I was apprehensive about. Their efficiency was so prompt and everything was confirmed by either WhatsApp or email. I'm delighted with the service I received yet again! Thank you Paul for reinforcing everything this morning again!

Paul has spoken to me a couple of times in the past couple of days and has been most polite and informative of the process since booking my holiday. Previously Rakesh was very patient and helpful in booking the trip. Well done both! The trip goes as well as the booking experience, we will have no complaints.
