Wish I’d read the reviews before…

Wish I’d read the reviews before buying: lots of people seem to have been scammed one way or another. My order jbc-82841 contained an empty product box! I have a picture but can’t upload here!

Would have given them a chance to respond - and then I read the reviews on here….likely no point.

Really disappointed.

Disappointing Service and Lack of Professionalism from Staff

I have been a loyal customer of JBC for two years, but after my recent experiences, I no longer feel comfortable returning.

On two separate visits, I encountered a staff member named Nina, whose attitude was both condescending and dismissive. During my first visit, I arrived 10 minutes before closing to collect a prescription sent by my private GP through Signature RX. Despite being polite and understanding of the timing, I was met with unnecessary hostility.

When I returned the following day to collect the same prescription, the experience was even worse. Nina once again spoke to me in a condescending manner and incorrectly insisted that the service used by my GP was part of the NHS, despite my clarification. Nina’s tone was patronising, and she insisted on my full name, surname, and date of birth in a way that felt belittling. Her behavior left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected on both occasions.

It’s disappointing that such poor customer service can overshadow an otherwise good establishment. Unfortunately, after these experiences, I will not be returning. I hope management takes steps to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and professionalism moving forward.

Ordering was made very easy with a great selection to choose from. The items ordered came very quickly. The staff at the shop were extremely helpful and made the experience very easy. Excellent service all round.

Customer Service Blackhole

Customer service is terrible. The phone number we are given just rings for ages and then cuts off. Emails and chats are not responded to in a timely manner. Yet they have time to post on Instagram. My reason for trying to contact them is that I paid for an expedited shipping but have not received my order in the time expected. The package is not moving at all despite having a tracking number and I have not been informed of delays. It has sat in some JBC location for over 1.5 days now without being handed over to an otherwise very reliable courier service. I normally wouldn't post a review in the middle of a transaction, but their customer support is non-existent.

Non-existent Customer Service

I forgot to collect my prescription and wanted to ring the company in Wigmore Street. The phone just rings and rings then cuts out. I then tried online CHAT AND INPUT MY DETAILS AND CLICKED CHAT AND NOTHING. I then went to their website and clicked on Customer Service to be directed to a form to complete which then invited Chat and when I clicked on Start CHAT - and I don’t have to tell you the answer as I’m sure you are all aware by now. John Bell & Croydon ‘s customer Service does not seem to have pulled itself out of the dark ages where the company first began. It certainly does not inspire brand loyalty and this Chemist would be my last goto
