Best datacenter around; personable and professional
The best datacenter I have ever used, with the best support, best service quality, and truly some of the best prices around!
I've been hosting my servers at Joe's Datacenter for over 11 years (as of this review), and have had zero regrets. The quality of service is fantastic, with a great central US location (so good pings whether you're east coast or west) as well as some rather reasonable policies. They don't really offer much in the way of technical support, being as how they're entirely unmanaged. However, despite that, they've always gone above and beyond to assist me with anything and everything, with super fast response times, quick reboots, and fairly fast reinstalls.
Most recently, they helped me out in what I can only describe as "the epically horrible financial downturn" in my life, which was caused by a number of factors, though most notably was the death of both of my parents. My business suffered immensely financially, and an increased licensing cost nearly forced my entire business into bankruptcy. When I told them this, they quite literally said it was fine, and that I could pay them as soon as I was able to. Fact I've been with them for over a decade might have helped with their decisions, but still. They didn't have to give me this level of leniency. In fact, I fully expected them to just tell me to pay now or go. But nope, they didn't do that. They actually seem to care about my business, and during these rather hard personal times, their care and support meant far more to me than I can reliably place into words.
Consider myself a customer for life. Millions of people rely on my services in some way or form every month, and Joe's is what ultimately powers them all. So thank you. Thank you so much for existing, and being as kind and understanding. I know this is a review of the business as a whole, but the people there deserve the absolute respect and admiration. Oh, and when I asked if I could show my thanks in any particular way, they said they were just happy that I was doing business with them. That's why I'm leaving this review. I almost never leave reviews, but I felt as though Joe's Datacenter deserved one.
Big special thanks to Camilla and Megan for being totally awesome, and so very understanding. If I could rate Joe's higher than a 5, I would. They deserve nothing but the absolute best, and I really hope that you'll consider (you, the reader) hosting with Joe's just like I've been doing for over 11 years.
Oh, and the servers they provide are absolutely amazing, too! Your milage will definitely vary as the stock changes rather often, but you'll typically find some pretty high powered boxes for ridiculously low prices. I've had 99.99% uptime with them as well, with only a single network outage from their end in my 11 years of hosting with them. Every other outage was mostly on me, with it being software or hardware, such as a failing hard drive. They fix hardware issues rather quickly too, so props to that.
So yeah. Great prices, great servers, great support, great uptime and reliability, great location. What's not to like?
