Such poor customer service or interest?

Needed to charge my car as my ESB card hadn’t arrived. Drive to Joe Duffy BMW charge point at Charlestown. It’s on Google, Google Maps and even Waze. Asked as Reception what I was required to do - ‘oh it’s not working yet!’ Really? Why not? I was directed to the service dept where two employees I spoke to could not have been less interested, less engaged or less awake. Guys - I only drive one of the cars you’re supposed to care for, I’m only a customer of the brand. Unhelpful, vague, uninterested and rude!

Terrible experience

I recently purchased a new Tiguan from their garage at exit 5 of M 50 and am most disappointed by the manner of salesman. The car was registered incorrectly by them and when I asked him to rectify the matter I found his manner very dismissive and condescending. I am still waiting four weeks later for him to return a call and email. I was not given a proper receipt and have had to contact them numerous times for one. They subsequently issued one with the incorrect reg number , another one was issued describing the car as the wrong colour!
Their attitude has totally taken away the hard work I made to purchase a new car. They pestered me before I bought the car but have been extremely difficult to contact since. I am now waiting for them to contact me regarding carpet that has come loose on the passenger side - After just four weeks and on a very expensive car- I am sorry that I bought my car from them and certainly will never go there again. I would not recommend them at all ! plus the difference in prices they quoted me for the paint ? , the Delivery? - yet the car was in the garage when I viewed it - so not sure why i was charged for it. Terrible service and attitude from them . AVOID at all costs . When I asked questions- I felt They avoided answering.

Awful

If it were possible to give this company a minus score I would. So you pay a little extra for your Volvo as they promise The Joe Duffy warranty....what they dont say about said warrantee is you have to wait for the week whilst they sit and look at how much it will cost. No explanation as to why you have to wait....if they give you a warrantee.. surely this means they will fix a major problem.....Ive been driving my son's volvo now for a week at 10 mph as hole in the turbo...it hasn't stopped but every day Joe Duffy promise a call back ...I'm still waiting...dont deal with this company unless you expect to be seriously stressed

Very poor service

My wife attended with her bmw for the 90 minute express service. She has recently had her hip replaced but they did not offer her a replacement car and the basic service actually took 3.5 hours. I also received a phone call from them to ask what the air cleaner element was! To add insult to injury, the car was not even cleaned or valeted. Says it all really.

can’t even manage an oil service….

Dropped my 5 series in for an oil service as scheduled at Joe Duffy. As I was coming off the M50 (approx 5km from the garage) the error message of “oil over maximum level” came on. I called the service adviser who told me it was probably a “software glitch”. I drove home and my husband checked the oil. It was incredibly full, approx 2-3 litres more than should be in. Over the plastic indicator - well over the level. And the filth of the oil! Absolutely black. Hard to believe that a main BMW dealer can’t even manage a standard scheduled oil change. We rang the service department again and when my husband told them about the dirt of the oil, the service advisor tried to fob the blackness off as “carbon deposits”. What a disgrace. It’s pure black. Must not have let the old oil drain out. Had to get them to send a tow truck out to bring my car away. My advice - don’t buy a BMW. Their after sales service is a disgrace.

Unfortunate lack of ethics from Joe…

Unfortunate lack of ethics from Joe Duffy Motors. I contacted them in relation to the sale of a new BMW to my 81 year old father who habitually upgrades his car annually but whose health and mobility has unfortunately deteriorated in the past year and is having difficulty accepting the risk that driving poses for himself and other road users. The sales manager gave the impression that he was sympathetic to the situation and would refund the deposit for the car especially since I explained that the family doctor has advised that he will not sign off on his driving license renewal in March. The sale has however not been cancelled and my follow up calls to the sales manager are being avoided now. It seems the prospect of losing a sale outweighed doing the right thing in the end

Staff in parts department have a bad…

Staff in parts department have a bad attitude. Assured me they'd ring me on numerous occasions for update and tracking details as it's 3 days until Christmas, never did once. Will definatley stay clear of these jobsworths. Every aspect of ordering parts is held up a day or two just for their ammusement seemingly. Now transpires 2 days after apparently posting this out to me, they just booked it in and never handed it over, then closed for Christmas. These are people being paid. Insane.

Joe Duffy BMW

No issue with sales or service departments here. More of an issue with reception.
Arrived at 9:35am to drop a vehicle for service. Was told to wait and someone from the service department would be with me momentarily.
At 9:50 I approached reception to enquire what the delay was as I had appointments elsewhere.
I was met with a disgruntled look from the receptionist and was told that someone would be with me shortly. I advised I was waiting some 15 mins already. At this juncture the response from the receptionist, in a loud voice, one can only assume was so others in the waiting area could hear, was that I was only waiting 10 minutes.
I replied I was waiting 15 minutes and I was again spoken to in a loud tone that someone would be with me shortly.
The mantra that should be followed in any business dealing with the public is that the customer is always right. I suggest that this particular staff member undergo a refresher course in dealing with customers in a respectful manner.
No customer should be spoken to in such a tone and due to this fact I will not be returning the this dealership in future.

Don't provide honest feedback in their survey

Went and took a test drive on Saturday. By the end of the test drive there was a quote available which contained €800 of optional insurance extras, without asking if I wish to avail of them. I then received a survey from them and I provided my feedback on the insurance. They did not take the feedback very well. Nor did they take it well when I asked who the finance company was in the quote, what was the rate and would it be possible to get options (on the Monday). While waiting on Monday for another quote they sold the car saying somebody put a deposit on it and their policy was to accept first deposit. Sales guy did try to ring me and I called back but no direct contact number for him or email. Judge for yourself..

So disappointed with my experience with Joe Duffy

So disappointed with my experience with Joe Duffy and would find it really hard to go back to them, all went well when I was buying the car but as soon as I paid I called my sales agent 5 times with no return phone call,I eventually spoke to the sales manager because I was getting more frustrated by the day,In my order, I also went for the paint protection pack and paid €400 but never received the cleaning case with the car, I was told it would be dropped to my house as soon as possible,I am still waiting on it as I write this review 3 weeks later, after spending 60K on a car I expected a bit more !!

Really poor after sales service

Really poor after sales service. Very quick to smile and talk the talk but once you sign on the dotted line the attitude changes. A really bad experience from the day we picked up a brand new car which had numerous defects and attempting to get these fixed was impossible even when dealing with management.
Simply put if you do consider Joe Duffy, beware as they are complete and utter bluffers. Money grabbers with no conscience and absolutely no regard for the customer experience.
It’s a real shame considering the cost of a new car that they can’t treat you with honesty and respect.

Great service and nice modern store.

Great service and nice modern store.
Dealing with everyone has been quite good, however recently a part was not ordered in advance of a service that they knew would be needed (could see remotely).
Overall one of the better dealerships ive dealt with (bmw)
