I can’t praise this company enough

I can’t praise this company enough, with a special mention to Gavin, who was absolutely top notch in his communication and organisation.
I purchased two Kam Stratosphere lights from JHS and, just before a wedding, one of them developed a fault. As it was just out of warranty, I contacted JHS simply to ask where I might be able to get it repaired. To my surprise and delight, Gavin immediately offered to replace the unit. He arranged swift delivery of a brand-new light along with collection of the faulty one, taking all the stress out of the situation.

This level of customer service is truly rare these days, going above and beyond when they could so easily have said it was out of their hands.
Thanks to JHS (and Gavin in particular), I was able to go into the wedding with confidence knowing my setup was complete. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will certainly be buying from JHS again.

Inept after sales.

Beware! The guitars are decent - and the reviews are strong, but pray you don’t have a service issue. I wanted a black scratch plate and after they sent me the wrong one and sourced another (wrong one) from their far east factory they offered to make me one. Their guitar “tech” made it with the gloss side facing onto the guitar! The routing and countersunk holes were shocking. And in the process of cutting they ruined original scratch plate with the router. And now they won’t accept what a catalogue of errors they made or pay to sort their mistakes. I’m left with a guitar that looks rubbish. They just don’t seem to care.

A lesson in what it says on the headstock

No gigs because of lockdown and have had over 200 guitars pass through my hands mostly fender an odd Gibson ,Parker and many moons ago a metal framed Hagstrom so I decided to see what an encore Stratocaster would be like I bought 2 old secondhand ones one red and one black (black one laminate red one solid body) put alnico fives on the black one and new tuners on both set them up to fender spec wow did I get a surprise with both of these ( dumped in a corner after both had an e string missing from amateur tuning ) stunning necks on both fabulous frets bright sound from the laminate one and slightly deeper from the solid body one but both up there in the classic strat sound bracket and great tuning stability can’t keep away from either of then really nice guitars and so sorry I didn’t try them earlier, and absolutely in love with their fabulous necks . Cheers Matt Leech Sandymount Dublin4 Ireland I sold my soul to rock n roll

Simon Shields went above and beyond…

Simon Shields went above and beyond when I asked if they stocked a specific tremolo arm and retainer.

I'd been searching for months, yet Simon managed to find one on the same day.

I will make sure to use JHS in the future.
