I’ve had mixed experiences at this…
I’ve had mixed experiences at this Jersey Mike’s location in Portage. On the positive side, the food is consistently good—fresh ingredients, well-made sandwiches, and quick service when things are running smoothly. That’s really the main reason I’ve continued to come back.
However, the management is a serious concern. Instead of properly training employees and helping them improve, it seems like staff are quickly let go rather than supported. This creates a tense environment that’s noticeable even as a customer.
I’ve also witnessed the manager speaking to employees in a very unprofessional way, including raising his voice at them in front of customers. That kind of behavior makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflects poorly on the business.
Overall, while the food meets expectations, the management and workplace environment take away from the experience. I hope the ownership takes steps to improve leadership and create a more respectful and professional setting for both employees and customers.
I always wondered what the big hubbub…
I always wondered what the big hubbub was about on Jersey Mike’s sub so I decided to try one today. I had their cheesesteak. It cost me $11.13 for a sub with very little meat and onions in it and 7 inches long. Just for the record I can buy a sub twice that long and half that price right down the road from me a mile and a half.
It tasted good but that’s absolutely ridiculous for me to have to wait 10 minutes to have somebody make me a cheesesteak at that price. Never again.
I wish I could include a picture showing how empty this regular sub was
It is the literal best place to eat at

Jersey Mike’s Auburn Indiana
So glad Jersey Mike’s is. Ow in Auburn Indiana. Stoped by on there grand opening week. The subs were great and the staff and management were on top of everything. Service was very fast no big wait.
Keep up the great work and welcome to Auburn.
Hairy situation
There is nothing worse then half way through my favorite sub ( the original Italian) to find a long hair hanging out of the second half of sub which I probably already ate what was in the first half , anyway upon calling the shrewsbury store where I bought the sub I was told they use paper hats and not hairnets as it is not policy , hopefully after posting pictures of the hair in my sandwich corporate will change how they prep food in their establishments… not sure if I could ever visit this shop agan

Jersey Mike's Ashtabula
Just stopped in to Jersey Mike's fir the friends & family night..... EXCELLENT JOB!!!! We were greeted by all the employees as well as the manager at the door. The energy & vibe was everything I needed and was accommodated with my food allergy! No more driving to Cleveland!
Avoid the Jersey Mike's in Inverness Florida
My buddy and I went to Jersey Mike's in Inverness Florida last night around 5:15 p.m. Sunday January 11th. There was only one person ahead of us and one person behind us the whole time we were there until we left.
When it came time for me to order I told the man I wanted a regular roast beef and parmesan sub. He asked my friend what he wanted and my friend told him to meat lovers sub.
I told the young man we were separate orders. He proceeded to lay out the two orders at one time in front of himself and asked what I wanted on mine. I said I wanted mayonnaise on the meat and cheese side of the bread in oil and vinegar on the other side. He then asked my friend what he wanted on his ignoring what I had said that we were separate orders and continued to make the two at the same time. He ended up putting vinegar and oil on both sides of my bread and mayonnaise on the one side and I told him that was the side I want to just mayonnaise and the meat and cheese so he threw the meat and cheese on top of it then he jumps over the next side and says what do you want on this I said well that's the side that was supposed to be just better than oil he goes ahead and adds more vinegar and oil. I did not ask for more. Then he puts the whole thing together and goes on to make my friends sandwich. I asked if I could have mine so I could pay for it while my friend was getting his made cuz he was getting all the whole vegetable deal on his. He continued to make me wait until he was done with my friends even though there was someone standing at the register waiting to ring me up.
After I dropped my friend at his house and got to my own I pull my sandwich out in the first thing I noticed was that Bread was extremely soggy. I went ahead and ate a whole half as I was so hungry and it was already late however it was just all I could taste was vinegar and oil and in the bread was soaked. Later on that evening I started having stomach cramps and ended up being sick overnight I saved the other half but I probably will trash it today because I don't want that wet soggy bread loaded with oil and vinegar falling apart in my lap as I try to eat it. My friend told me his second half by the time he got to it was soaked too and soggy we decided we will not go back to this Jersey Mike's thanks to a bad employee that didn't care and didn't listen to the customers concerns.
was so good denfently eating hear agen
was so good definitely eating here again sike never eating here again my chicken Cheese Chipotle steak was burnt
Dawsonville GA bad experience
The bread was so dry I had to throw it away and just eat the turkey. I've noticed that when someone orders a medium sub, the bread that wasn't used from the previous sub is used. I was told that all bread is baked in the morning but mine was as stale as can be. The last few visits they have been doing this. My suggestion is when ordering make sure you get the freshest loaf possible.
Waste of money meats and cheese are…
Waste of money meats and cheese are transparent. No joke you could actually see through the cheese and meat bread is disgraceful and giant sub is an outrageous lie in advertising I’m going to file a lawsuit for false advertising. This place is going out of business and this is a big red flag It’s appalling they would go so low as to ruin its brand by cutting portions and lying
Great staff
Always a great experience when my sister and I visit the 12 street Ogden location.
Great Staff
The staff knows my order at the 12th street Ogden location as soon as I walk in the door.. Including that I prefer my bacon warmed even though it is in a warming table..
Disrespectful and rude and dicriminating against black people
I currently went to the Jersey mikes in Hyde park I go in and ask if anybody had a charger so I can pay for my food this one man said yes so I continue to order my food thinking he was going to let me borrow the charger so my phone went dead so this other crossed eyed man said you need to leave before I call the cops I ask him for what he said you always coming in here asking for stuff and an employee I said first of all I don’t even know this employee’s name second of all u discriminating because I’m black and everybody in here white and he banned me from the store for asking for a charger I don’t appreciate the disrespect when I come in the store multiple times a week he was very rude and disrespectful for no reason at all
Great food service and Angela
When I visit the Rowlett location the service is always amazing not to mention the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. I eat at that location once a week. A couple of weeks ago I met Angela and I’m here to tell you she is one of the friendliest and outgoing people I have met. Angela along with the food it’s always a great experience.
Slow and Failed to read the order
Placed an order on the website for pickup more than 30 minutes in advance. Arrived at 7:02 pm with a pickup time scheduled of 7:00pm. Waited for over 10 minutes for my order and during that time several walk ins were serviced and recieved their food while I waited. Additionally the customization on my order was not taken into account. I got a bone stock sandwich. I asked for no onions / no tomatoes / no oil / no vinegar / add pepperoni. None of this was done and the order was WRONG. There was so much oil dripping from the sandwich it wasn't even edible.
Good decent/ support poor
The sandwich wasn’t bad. The app they use is total junk. I asked for help but customer service is poor at best. Not worth the hassle.
Too many cooks spoil the broth is a true saying.
The store in Ramsey has got so many guys working there and they still can't get the orders right. Not consistent with who is helping take your order so while you tell one person what you want, another comes along who doesn't know and screws up the order. When you complain they get angry with an attitude. Never again!
