We've been a user of another brand of mud mats for a fair few years. Having recently bought some land, we wanted to create a yard area that was both safe and practical (we are borderline OCD tidy!) and felt that Jelka would be the right fit for what we wanted to achieve. I thought that we would find it difficult to keep the yard area clean, but once the sand is in, they are incredibly easy to sweep and keep tidy even with 3 horses constantly having access to them. We ordered in plenty of time but our groundworks were held up meaning that we had to put back the delivery a few times and Adrian and the team were most accommodating.

We will be placing an order for some additional mats in the near future and wouldn't hesitate in recommending Jelka!

Having waited for almost 5 years to get planning permission for my dream stables, the dream is now a reality. I have 4 stables inside in a barn, all with interlocking rubber matts supplied by Jelka and fitted perfectly by Jared. They don't move and the horses love them, not only do my stables have rubber matts that are amazing, I have 4 pens on the outside of the barn so the horses can go in and out as they choose, again with interlocking outdoor rubber matts in green, the pens are super safe and the outdoor rubber matts have a trim around the outside so they don't move at all.
Jared fitted all the pens and the rubber matts so carefully they look amazing. I'm so pleased and can highly recommend Jelka to everyone. Thanks again.

I (and my horses) think the Jelka mats are amazing.  They have really stood up to the test with the amount of rain we have had and they are so easy to install and move.

I have 30 Jelka mats that I ordered over a year ago. They're in two locations - a path from paddock to field shelter and dry standing, and a path out through some woodland to go hacking.

For the paddock path, I did little more than rake the ground flat and chuck them down. I was fully anticipating having to re-do them, but they're absolutely perfect one year on. I would agree putting sand on top is necessary. However, even though they've been rained on for a year, and I leaf blow regularly, I've only needed a couple of buckets of sand to top up over 20 mats. It's like magic how it's remained in place.

The hacking path through the woods is incredible. The mats were placed on loose leaves and ground as soft as compost! The worst possible base and I'm fairly sure not recommended by Jelka! However, they've provided a suitable path for my jittery thoroughbred to traverse. He visibly relaxes when he gets a foot off the soggy ground and onto the firm matting. I've just ordered another 18 mats to make this path longer and wider (as it's so soft either side) and can't wait for them to arrive!
