Used to love it, but quality isn’t the same anymore
I’ve been buying from Jamie Kay since 2018, and it used to be one of my absolute favourite brands for kids’ clothing. The fabric quality was amazing back then — thick, super soft, and really durable. Most pieces lasted a long time (as long as the kids didn’t outgrow them first).
Unfortunately, I’ve noticed a significant decline in quality more recently. The newer items, especially leggings and tops, feel much thinner than before and tend to develop holes quite easily with normal wear. It’s quite disappointing compared to how well the older pieces held up.
Another thing I’ve started to notice is a strong chemical smell when opening new packages, which I never experienced with their earlier collections.
I still love their designs, but the drop in fabric quality and overall durability has made me hesitate to keep purchasing as frequently as I used to.

We’re really sorry to hear that some of your more recent pieces haven’t felt as durable as the earlier collections. This certainly isn’t the experience we want for our customers. Our team is continuously reviewing fabric weights, blends, and construction to ensure our garments meet the high standard you’ve known and loved, so your comments are incredibly valuable and will be passed directly to our production team.
Regarding the smell you’ve noticed when opening new packages — we completely understand how off‑putting that can be. This scent actually comes from our compostable corn‑starch bags,. These eco‑friendly bags can occasionally have a stronger natural odour, especially when freshly packaged, but it does dissipate quickly once opened.

Another stellar customer experience! I’m a longtime, loyal lover of JamieKay clothing, and proud to have reached Level 5 status with my 5 grandchildren, always finding high quality items from both new drops and promotions. Just got my order and love everything. The fit, style, and quality is all great and my daughter loved it all and can't wait to wear. Wow Jamie Kay, you are amazing. I purchased an embroidered bunny,and I asked for my grandaughters first and last name to be put on. There was confusion as her first and last name are similar. Her last name was put on the bunny. I reached out to Jamie Kay, and they righted the wrong, by sending another bunny free of charge with her full name for free. What a wonderful company. Jamie Kay is my go to for beautifully made, designed and diverse pieces for my two daughters and son. I have been buying their clothing items for years now and people always comment on the gorgeous prints, floral and cute kittens being our favourites. They have delicate, sweet dresses for little girls which I feel are hard to find these days, especially for ages 8-10. The boys items are amazing and diverse, with a gorgeous colour scheme and the baby basics, bodysuits etc, are designed to last! Customer service is also 5 star. Love Jamie Kay.
