James and team have created the most beautiful Toi et Moi engagement ring for us. I knew James’ work was amazing (I have a beautiful Gaia emerald ring already) and had to have him design my engagement ring. Seeing our ring evolve from online designs, to 3D printed models to the real thing was the most exciting experience.
I loved being sent links to diamonds, heading in to the shop to try things on and now getting to wear the real thing is incredible. The textured band feels so unique and the setting really shows off the stones James sourced. I’ve had strangers stop me to comment on how beautiful my ring is and I’ll always recommend heading to James’ shop/ website to anyone looking for something truly special. Thank you.

Exhausted from hours of searching Birmingham Jewellery Quarter for the engagement ring that was 'the one' we finally came across James' shop on Vyse Street. A complete breath of fresh air! An incredible range of beautiful, unique settings and precious stones of every hue. Everything we'd seen before we walked through the door looked mass produced in comparison. Suffice to say we chose James Newman for the ring, our wedding rings and now 10 years on, an eternity ring too. Honestly if you're looking for a first-class customer experience and jewellery that will put a smile on your face every time you look at it, consider James Newman.

James designed our absolutely stunning wedding rings for me and my husband to be. He took so much time to discuss and design different options, and made my beautiful ring using a family heirloom - even though it must have been a right faff! Amazing communication through the whole process. Will never be going anywhere else for jewellery!

James Newman is an absolute gent and an unbelievable jeweller. His expert team made me a lovely bespoke pendant to honour my granddad and I have hardly taken it off in 2 years. Excellent customer care and products, I’ll be back for more

James was recommended to us by a friend and we are so grateful! I wanted to use the gold and diamond from an inherited family ring to make my engagement ring. James listened and produced some designs then made us the prettiest ring I could have wished for. He made our wedding rings, too. It was all a very pleasant experience. The welcome from his cuddly dog was a lovely surprise!

James is a wonderfully talented designer and maker of jewellery. We first discovered him when we were looking for a ring for my daughters 21st birthday without much idea of what we wanted. James worked with us to create something that was unique and beautiful that my daughter wears every day and will be an heirloom. We've been back to him and will keep returning as his knowledge, honesty, skill and designs are simply superb. I can't recommend him highly enough.

James and his team did an exceptional job of a ring we commissioned including personalized symbols on the inside of the band. Their attention to detail is impressive and their workmanship exemplary. Highly recommend.

Bought an engagement ring from James Newman a couple of years ago and could not fault their customer service back then, the whole process was a pleasure from choosing the ring to having it sized. Unfortunately, the ring got damaged but I popped back in today and they couldn't be more helpful. They had a look at it right away and before long I was walking out with it good as new. Definitely recommend

I can't recommend James Newman highly enough! I wasn't interested in jewellery until I visited his shop with my sister. Now I have a collection of beautiful hand made pieces, several from bespoke designs and using precious metals and stones form m mother's jewellery.

James is an in incredibly talented man and he listens to what you’re looking for in order to make the most perfect items. He made our wedding rings and now he’s making my eternity ring, many years later, to some very specific requirements. I am so excited to see the final result and I just know that it’s going to be fabulous.

I would highly recommend James Newman jewellery. We have brought several pieces of jewellery from James over the past ten years. Each piece has been absolutely beautiful. James will take your ideas and suggestions and turn them into something special. We last visited on Friday as I had seen a ring I liked from an email I received before Christmas. It is absolutely stunning! James had the ring adjusted to fit my finger and we collected it on Tuesday. I absolutely adore it. So, please don’t hesitate to pop along to meet James. You couldn’t meet a nicer guy with such a great personality and knowledge about what he knows about jewellery.

The bespoke service that you get from James and his team really is just that, bespoke. We were really impressed by the care and attention that they gave to our commission, working and then patiently reworking their ideas with our feedback until it was absolutely perfect. We have been customers for several years and when James first made my engagement ring he said that if we ever wanted to upgrade or change it then that would be possible. James has just completed the most spectacular upgrade on my engagement and wedding rings, keeping all of the original design that we loved but giving them a sparkle and difference that I would not have thought possible. My favourite jeweller in The Quarter. So many are much a of muchness, yet these designs stand out from the crowd - literally outstanding. Modern and fresh yet classic and sophisticated, I love them all. To boot, James is lovely & very helpful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Laid back professionalism at its finest from James and his friendly, experienced team. We headed to the Jewellery Quarter to get some inspiration for my engagement ring, after going into many of what felt like the same rings different shop scenario, with people suited and booted ready to sell, it was a refreshing change to come across James Newman. Independent, unique, tailored, listened to, patient, straightforward, non-judgmental, care are all words I would associate with them. The process demonstrates they really do want you to be happy with your choice, and their making of it. We are so happy with the outcome and wouldn’t have any of it any other way. Highly recommend this lovely establishment and its people.
