I designed my own ring, with a beautiful lab created pink cushion diamond, and James Allen delivered. I’ve gotten so many compliments! I was worried my ring wasn’t going to arrive before I had to leave town on a trip, so I emailed James Allen customer service and they were able to rush the order for me…that was awesome! This is the 3rd piece of jewelry I’ve purchased from JA and I’ve always had a positive experience. Thanks JA team. :)

On June 24th, I placed order for $606.69, with the shipping address being a freight forwarding company, as I reside in Panama.
I was informed by your team that shipments to freight forwarders were not allowed. I was then advised, through multiple communications, to re-route the package to a UPS Store in Orlando, Florida, where a friend could retrieve it on my behalf. We agreed on this solution, and the package arrived as expected.
However, when my friend attempted to pick up the package on Saturday, the UPS agent informed her that a release form was required for pickup. I immediately contacted your customer service team, and was told that since it was Saturday, the shipping department was unavailable — but a ticket would be submitted so the receiver’s name could be updated first thing Monday.
Today, I followed up, only to be told that changing the name of the recipient is not possible, and that the package will be recalled. I now expect a full refund of $606.69.
Had I been properly informed from the beginning, I would not have proceeded with this purchase. Unfortunately, I was misled by multiple customer service representatives — via both email and phone. I was repeatedly assured that a name change for the receiver would be possible, which now appears to have never been an option.
This has been a very frustrating experience and reflects poorly on the service quality I expected from a fine jewelry retailer.
I look forward to a prompt resolution and refund.

For any Canadian purchasing, be aware that the shipping and duty chargers showed can be widely incorrect as James Allen is not factoring in or warning about Tariffs. Just got hit with a 25% additional charge on my order, would have been cheaper to buy local or Canadian. Spoke to customer service and they apologized even though they knew immediately that it was due to tariffs. Disappointing that they would not take greater efforts to manage customers expectations and warn them.

My experience with James Allen has been incredible and super seamless!
I ordered a couple of plain wedding bands in mid April and received them 3 weeks later- which is really good considering I live in a small city in Australia.
Unfortunately my ring was too small and I had to send it back to be resized. The resizing was super easy, free and seamless process, and I received my resized ring early June.
Customer service was also amazing and super easy to work with.

Will attempt to make this concise. In short:
-Ordered $400 Necklace May 10.
-Receive the necklace, it’s tangled and knotted
-Call customer service to setup a return/exchange, the rep requests pictures of the chain and explains that “it must be examined before we can proceed because we don’t know how the knot happened” and then states that I could have caused the knot?
-I, upset, explain I got the chain as a momento for my recently deceased little brother and want nothing more than to simply honor him by wearing the necklace
-Customer service rep scrambles to give condolences and escalates me to a service manager to facilitate the return
-Due to the pressure of the rep, and once again, just simply wanting to wear it and avoid dealing with their customer service, I attempt to get the knot out and unfortunately break the chain
-I send chain back
-I get an email stating they are servicing necklace and it will be sent back June 11, more than a month from initial order.
All in all I was hoping I had found a jeweler that would slightly ease the pain of a terrible loss and maybe somewhere I could buy more jewelry from in the future. Unfortunately, I found neither.

I ordered an eternity ring and had to make a last minute size adjustment. I called customer service and was able to get the size upgrade taken care of right away. The ring arrived in a BIG box with the ring nestled inside in a little red ring box ( the anticipation was every thing). I am very pleased with my ring and the customer service received. The ring was stellar and I would definitely purchase again from James Allen!

Great client support, fast and reliable delivery and top quality jewelry. This is the first time I buy jewelry online and was pleased with the ample selection of settings and diamonds to choose from. Everything was perfect and just as I originally envisioned. Not that I'm thinking of ever getting engaged again, but if I were, I'd choose James Allen again.

The rings themselves are lovely and as expected however one wedding band arrived with the box completely broken. I live in the UK and when I contacted James Allen customer services about the issue, I was told they could send a replacement box but for a charge. I was so disappointed to be expected to pay a tax fee after spending a lot of money on two rings for our special day. I had provided pictures of the box to show how damaged and unusable it was. Imagine if this had been someone’s engagement ring box?! It felt like rubbish after care and surely a large company could have covered the cost instead of expecting a customer to do this. The two stars are for the nice wedding bands. My fiancé also bought my engagement ring from James Allen and it is beautiful.
