Jam Jam is a musician's songbook that listens. It brings together the tools guitarists, pianists and ukulele players actually reach for — chords, lyrics, tablature, a tuner, a metronome, backing tracks and a chord catalogue — in one app that works without an internet connection. The app listens to what you play and names the chords in real time. Point your phone at a guitar, a piano or a room, and Jam Jam follows the harmony, suggests the scales that fit, and shows the fingering on your instrument. You can also import a song from a link, a PDF or a photo of a sheet, then edit the chords and lyrics like a document. Two commitments shape how it is built. Everything happens on your device. Chord recognition, lyric transcription and the automatic assistant run on your phone — audio is never uploaded, never stored, never analysed on a server. And the app works offline: on a train, in a rehearsal room, in a basement with no signal, the songbook, the tuner and the backing tracks all keep working. Jam Jam ships with 7 public-domain songs so there is something to play from the first minute, and a catalogue of 374 hand-drawn chord fingerings across guitar, ukulele, mandolin, guitalele and banjo. A free account can import 10 songs per week, reset every Monday. Jam Jam Pro removes the limits. We are a small independent studio. Accounts are hosted in the European Union, you can export everything you have written at any time, and you can delete your account from inside the app or from our website — no email, no waiting. We do not sell data and we do not run third-party trackers on our website. Jam Jam is available on Android and in any browser at jam-jam.org. An iOS version is in preparation.
