Had to sue GM Chris Swartout to get a rightful refund

I was loyal to Jack’s for 17 years until I literally had to sue Chris Swartout, the GM, to get a rightful refund. Even after a full payout, Chris refused even a simple apology. Go to Crews Magic Hand Car Wash instead.

I used to read bad reviews and think, “That won’t be me.” Don’t assume it won’t happen to you.

I bought an annual wash pass that included exterior wash + tire & wheels - the cashier noted it in their system. It worked for about a month until manager Nate Hayes refused to honor it and tried to swap me into a different pass. When I asked for a refund, he refused.

For the next 5 months, I was ignored by Chris Swartout (the owner’s son & GM) despite calls, texts, and visits. When I filed a Visa chargeback, Chris lied to my bank claiming that “there is a contract and it was too late to cancel.” At that point I had no choice but to sue. Only after being served did Chris finally pay me a full damages equaling a refund plus court costs - $650 instead of $325. Due to payment I dismissed the case.

Even then, Chris refused to give a simple requested apology for his refusal to reply to texts/calls, etc. for a refund and fighting against my Visa charge back.

I have every document and text receipts to prove it. Save yourself the trouble and go to Crews Magic Hand Car Wash instead.
